We stayed here prior to an early morning flight, arrived about 5 or 6. Check in was fast and efficient, no sitting down to a drink and cool towel but that didn't matter at all. We just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable and the Grand Deluxe Room was lovely. It is sure a huge hotel, you almost need a moving walkway for the long long corridors. The room was good, large enough, comfortable, quiet and clean. There was a dressing alcove before the large bathroom with its usual comforts like safe, bathrobes, slippers. The view from the balcony was not impressive but that didn't matter. To the right I could see the canal and life for those people going on was more interesting than the roof top that I could see straight ahead, but it ticked all the boxes for a night of peace before another flight. Can't comment on the breakfast as we left too early to have that, but the airport has many options there. We opted for the Coffee Club in the Burger King store, to have the sort of coffee we love from Australia!! Yeah we are a little precious with coffee coming from Melbourne!! Free Wi Fi in there was a bonus! Check out was fast and efficient. Oh yes to get to the airport you don't need to go on the escalator (which is by reception). A nice doorman, very tall for a Thai man, took us up the elevator and then with his very long legs and taking our suitcases, took massive strides across the walkway to the airport itself. Me and my little legs were working overtime to try to keep him in sight lol. It was just fine and I would recommend it for a good night's rest before or after a flight from or to Don Muang.

Room Tip: The Grand Deluxe was not expensive and was very roomy and quiet.

It's a good airport hotel to stay if you have a connecting flight at Don Muang Airport. The room is clean & the bed is very comfortable.

The breakfast buffet is good (if you're a big fan of asian food). There're not enough staffs to check you in quickly. Some people arrived after us and got served before us! also if you join Amari rewards card please note that if you dont book through their website you don't get the benefit. At the end of the day this hotel has poor staff who don't care because they are only real hotel in the area!

Room Tip: The rooms on north wing have a pool views

The location of the hotel is perfect, if you have an early morning flight out of Don Muang Airport. My flight landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport late at night. I had asked the Amari to pick me up at the airport and take me to the hotel. A hotel representative was waiting for me as I exited customs and took me to where a driver was waiting to take me to the hotel. The room as well as the breakfast the next morning exceeded my expectations.

Arrived at 12.30am after a long delayed flight from Australia.Service was great and we were promptly registered and escorted to our rooms. The rooms appeared to be recently renovated and was very comfortable. Other parts of the hotel were being renovated but we did not hear any noise. Breakfast was included in the price and we all raved that it was the best buffet breakfast we had at any hotel. Lots of choices both western and Asian. With the hotel being only a short walk from the airport in a covered walkway it is the best option for a stopover till you catch your next flight. The hotel has other services that we did not have time to avail ourselves of such as pool and transport to shopping etc. Would not even consider stayinganywherre else if flying though Don Muang again.

Our itinerary was to arrive at Suvarnabhumi airport (Bangkok’s main international terminal) from Australia, late in the afternoon and leaving from Don Muang airport (which services domestic Thailand and nearby country flights) the next morning and chose the low risk option of staying overnight in Amari Don Muang Hotel – avoiding potential traffic delays next morning.
The hotel is literally across a busy expressway from the Don Muang airport and access is via an airconditioned walkway up an escalator in the hotel lobby – just 5 minutes walk, in comfort.
Transit from Suvarnabhumi can be by public bus service (cheapest), taxi or hotel limousine. We chose the limo, based on past experience whereby you can be stuck in traffic in sweltering heat – not a great experience in a bus or poorly airconditioned taxi! The cost was the highest of all options but a one hour fare in a taxi in Australia or USA would cost 3 times that of the Amari car – comfortable, clean and safely driven. We were greeted at the airport terminal exit by an Amari staff and the car came right to the exit door.
The hotel is well appointed and in good condition, with modern western furnishings, an efficient front desk and is reasonably priced (our package had breakfast and wifi included). After a day-long journey we just wanted to relax with a light meal and found this in their Henry J. Beans, American styled bar in the back of the building at street level. The room was clean, beds comfortable and shower hot.
Airport noise is not an issue with its night curfew and the hotel’s double glazed windows.
A very good experience.
