We visited this hotel on 15 March for one night before travelling on the Phuket. Accommodation was very good and bed was very soft. Had an enjoyable night sleep. We ate in this hotel and the food was also very good and everything was reasonably priced. Would highly recommend if you want a break in between flights and will definitely stay again should the need arise.

Thank you.

We, my wife and I have stayed twice at Amarni airport Hotel in this last few weeks.
1st Stay. Stayed 21 Feb 2014 for 1 night. Booked in ok. We got 2 x 24hrs Wi-Fi passes. We had had a long days travel. We were tired. Went to bed at 9.00pm. At 4.00am the phone rang ’this is your early morning call’, we had not requested one. Got back in bed. At 4.05am the phone rang again. Same thing early morning call. Rest of the night was difficult to get back to sleep. Complained when we booked out later that morning.
2nd Stay. Stayed 3 nights.01/02/03 March 2014 Room 4004. At book in requested no early morning calls. Got to room, checked mini bar. Empty, only 2 bottles in. Got on phone to housekeeping. No answer. Phoned customer services. They ‘put’ me through to housekeeping. Still no answer. After several more tries got onto housekeeping. Told them, they asked if I wanted it restocking. I said no, just filling we had drunk nothing. Someone came and checked the waste bins to see if any empties in. Must have also thought we had drunk them. Explained we had only checked in 30 mints ago. Had to say a couple of times there was no complementary water. They left.
Someone else came to top up the mini bar. Did not put all of what was on the list. So more was added. But still the mini whiskey was not added as per the list. We were told not supplied to this room, I asked then why is it on the price list. The list was then changed. Still had to ask for complementary water.
I put things in the safe, then later could not open it. On the phone again, 20 mints later lady came checked and confirmed batties were flat.
Next day safe would not open. Phoned, lady came and had to reset.
Next day same again with the safe. Lady came and fixed. Suggested the safe did not ‘like’ the 4 digit code I used. On this day at 4.35pm we came in to have a shower ready to go out. Room had not been made up. We had to go and find some towels.
Final day, went for breakfast, came back to pack, card would not open the door. Had to go and get someone to sort it out. 20 mints wait.
For the time we were there the carpet was only cleaned once, the glass table in the room was not cleaned at all.
When booking in we only got 2x24hrs Wi-Fi for 3 nights. Same Wi-Fi pass as for I night.?????
As we were packing I used the Wi-Fi. On the logging in page the hotel ran an ad. ‘Book 3 nights and get an upgrade’. We booked 3 nights and got no upgrade. No date limitations.
I think you can see we were not happy at all with our stay.
Can I have your acknowledgement of this e.mail and comments to the above, before I submit to TripAdvisor, which was requested by your staff when we booked in on our 2nd visit.

From Beryl and Ian HADFIELD. Returning to England after 12 weeks travelling .

Below is the reply to some points I raised. Seems no interest in a full reply. I enclose this to be fair to all parties...........Ian..

this hotel is great if you are getting an early flight back the next day....we booked it as we do not want to rush the Bangkok morning jam. there are a few stalls nearby, but yea, they are not particularly clean. however, we ate in one of the clean-est stalls, and enjoyed the food very much - if you are looking for pure thai street food like phat ka prao (basil Leaves), or the tom yum. it was very cheap, only 215baht for 4 of us including drinks. however, if you prefer, you may always go to the airport earlier, there are a few considerable restaurants there. there are no shopping centre nearby though, so we took a metered taxi to fashion island - costing us 81baht only. be careful of the taxi that do not want to use meter - one charging us at 300baht, we alighted from the taxi immediately. thanks to Khun Sunee (from the hotel reception area) advice, and helping us to hail the taxi, very very glad to have her last night. one note though, the towels that we had was quite smelly, something like it had not been dried up completely before making its way to our room.we decided to let it go though, as only using it another time on the next morning.

I went for a wedding ceremony here and found that they are all professional. The room and facility is as great as the big 5 stars hotel.
Foods are also yummy comparing to another 5 stars hotel I recently visited for a wedding ceremony.
Service and staffs here are awesome, really!

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our flight from Don Muang. As other writers have said the hotel is perfectly located (with an overhead passageway directly connected to the airport) for travel from this airport. Our room overlooked the pool, was large and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and there was little noise from other rooms or from outside. Ask for a room facing the pool – they are quieter and have nicer views. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of western and Asian foods.

Our only negative comment would be that the area around the hotel is not very nice. Walking was difficult due to narrow sidewalks and congested streets. Others commented on various food courts around the hotel – we saw them and decided to pass as they did not look particularly clean or inviting. Instead we ate in the passageway between the airport and hotel at a little outlet that was reasonable and had very good food (prepared by the hotel). Other food outlets are available in the airport. Also there is not much to do around the hotel as it is almost completely surrounded by major roads and the airport.

We strongly recommend this hotel if you are flying from this airport. It is clean, with nice rooms, pool, helpful and friendly staff and good breakfast.

The hotel is average, rooms are ok and clean, its a great option if youre taking a flight very early, they have a small restaurant there. Just be on the front desk with enough time before your flight they are not the fastest.

We flew in from Dubai at the main international airport and took the free shuttle bus to Don Muang(it was about forty or fifty minutes without making any stops). I booked this hotel only because it was attached to the Don Muang Airport and we had a flight the next day. I wanted a location that was convenient.

Check in was fine until we went up to our room to find they had given us a room that had not been cleaned! So we had to go all they way back to the reception and get a key for another room. The room was good size. There were renovations going on in the hotel, this was a room that looked like it had not been renovated. The room was quite and we got a good nights sleep.
