The location of the hotel is good - although if travelling by taxi from BKK the traffic around the hotel is heavy - this resulted in the Taxi driver taking a 15 min detour to enable a U turn (around 1Km in distance).
The welcome is friendly and professional. The room quality good, bed outstanding.
On the massive plus side is the "Heichinrou" Chinese restaurant. It is outstanding - food quality amazing and the "Maitre d" of the restaurant very professional and friendly. Her knowledge and recommendations on wine are superb.
With regards to the "Henry J Bean Bar and grill " - the service is at best impersonal and the offering overpriced and poor.
Out of interest the "Promenade" where we had lunch on arrival is an outdated buffet style concept - this may have been popular in 1980 - massive space - just amazingly out of date in decor and offering.
The business centre was OK - could do with some 21st Century IT. The business centre staff helpful and friendly.
Housekeeping excellent. i will return to this hotelMore
