Second time ive stayed here and its a brilliant hotel placed right in new bangkok next to some of the major shopping areas. Sky train links near by as well. Sleep quality is great, big comfortable beds and very quiet rooms. Theres a big pool area but over new year it was crowded. Theres a private gym club which hotel guests can use and is excellent. We also attended the new years eve party to see the fireworks and have a few cocktails which was pretty good after mixing it down on the streets with thousands of others earlier in the evening. Will most likely stay here again when next in bangkok.

Date of Stay: 2/01/2014 to 7/01/2014
Location: 5/5 The girls were looking for a shopping area so the PP with the MBK centre next door ticked the boxes. Also taxis are very cheap so easy to adventure by cab without the huge costs like home (Australia).
Rooms: 5/5
Dining: 5/5 The buffet breakfast was almost on par with the Nikko in Saigon and the evening restaurant in the same venue was very good also. The Italian restaurant on the 8th floor was quite nice also.
Staff: Excellent, very pleasant.
Pool: The best pool encountered across our trip (Phnom Penh-Saigon-Siem Reap-Bangkok)

Really great pick for us (mid 20's couple). Extremely comfortable bed, nice view of Bangkok and great location next to MBK. The breakfast is literally as amazing as people say it is; huge buffet spread and all included. We went for a basic Queen Superior room, and are very happy with it. The facilities are also top notch, and there's a huge pool to swim in or relax by.

Highly recommend this place for a few nights in Bangkok, and you can usually pick up a good promotion deal (we scored the "3 nights for 2 winter deal).

Room Tip: Any room is fine, we ended up with a Queen Superior overlooking the pool with a great view of the ci...

the family suite is not really child proof. Example : The cups for drinking and brushing teeth is made of heavy glass. Will suggest to have plastic cups instead.

Overall, we had great fun. The housekeeping and room service are extremely friendly and efficient.

We booked two deluxe view rooms, upon arrival we found that our rooms had 2 single beds. We booked these rooms under MR & MRS ...as you would expect we were quite shocked to find to single beds and assumed that - like all other hotels - especially 5 star would provide a king or Double Bed as standard.

This took quite a lot of discussion to have resolved, as we were told that we needed to mention in the 'comments box' that we request a double bed for a married couple. There was NO WHERE on the website that suggested we needed to enter the request for a double bed in the comments box. I have never had to request this at any other hotel before, as you would assume that if a booking is for a MR and MRS this would automatically be done.

We eventually had a room change, after we argued our point. To make matters worse our key card to our new room (one of the two rooms booked) did not work after coming home late from the Markets on night. This was a great inconvenience as we were unable to access the lifts as you need the key card to go anywhere... so we used the stairs to climb down to reception - we were on the 14th Floor...

This did not happy just the once, but three times. Every time they gave us a new card and said "yes this will work". It worked, but like I said it took us three trips down the stairs to reception. No-one said Sorry, or gave us any compensation for the inconveniences caused.

We found human excrement in the spa outside, this was totally disgusting and a health concern. This just topped our experience off.

Truly a bad experience, to say this is a 5 star hotel, the rooms were old, tattered and our bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned before we arrived. We did not receive 5 star service.

The only good part about the stay here was the Breakfast, lucky.

Sorry, but we will never be back.

Room Tip: If your a couple staying - Make sure you add in the COMMENTS box that you want a double bed, as appa...

Well, we've just completed another stay at our favorite hotel in South East Asia. As per usual, we were provided with an upgraded room (executive suite) which was a real treat as usual. We had a pool view room which is always a good view, looking towards the Saladang district. The room was spotless, with a separate lounge room, office desk and TV. The dressing room was fantastic, as was the bathroom. The staff are always freindly and very helpful. The staff in the cafe in the foyer are so tentative and happy to help you out! The Concierge suggested a fantastic Italian restaurant for us and was happy to make the booing for us. This is perhaps the 20th time we've stayed at this hotel and can fully recommend it. Enjoy!

What a gorgeous hotel. Fabulous staff, amenities and a wonderful buffet breakfast made this a great two night break.
Situated inside the MBK shopping centre this place has it all. The Skytrain is accessible through the MBK too.
I can't fault this place - check in was a dream with lovely staff who even showed us to our room. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a convenient stopover - but do make sure you visit the other shopping centres as well - Terminal 21 was awesome!
One morning my daughter and I shopped whilst the boys had a sports day - tennis court, basketball, squash and the pool all within the hotel kept them busy. My fitness loving hubby said the gym was 5 star as well :)
A tip for anyone wanting a cheap Thai feed - there is a foodcourt in the MBK that seems to be mainly full of locals. You pre-load money onto cards and pay each shop using that card. This place was delicious! Terminal 21 shopping centre has one also - $22 for 12 mains, 10 fruit smoothies and ice creams for six people!!!
