Good hotel. Great view of the river. Very spacious washrooms... the staff was friendly. Food was good. . we were in a group and it was really thoughtful of the hotel to arrange indian breakfast. Could have provided free wifi in the rooms though. Overall a good hotel in it's category.

Our first impressions of this hotel was bad. The lights in the lobby, cafe area etc were all off, which made the place look like a ghost town. Although it was day time, it's was very dark as there was not sunlight.

The staff were ok, not the best that we have come across, and we are not pushy or demanding people either.

The room was ok, we were apparently upgraded to a room with more view. Room was crap as we could smell cigarettes the whole 3 days we were there coming through the vents.

Breakfast was crap also.

The only thing going for this place was price. We paid $2700 baht per night.

You definitely get what you pay for here.

Note: trip to shops by taxi meter is about 100 baht only. Anymore than that you have overpaid or your taxi driver got lost.

How this hotel got 5 stars amazes me! The staff was nice enough but their english was very poor. Finally the last night we found a concierge that understood enough english and got that we needed a van for transportation to the airport - after several attempts the previous day. The rooms were spacious but terrible worn down and in general need for an upgrade (we stayed on the 20th floor in Delux rooms). During the day they turned of all the lights in the reception area and although there was a lot of windows, everything seemed sad, dark, like
faded former glory. The breakfast was okay. That the hotel is in the middle of nowhere does not help either. But we got a good price via Sawadee.com, so I guess it is good value for money. But I don't think I will reccomend this hotel to anyone, execpt maybe to youths going backpacking and need cheap accomadation.

We stayed in a club room on 25th floor. Excellent quality. Hard wood floors, marble bathroom, modern furniture. And very clean. Thew views down the Chao Praya river were spectacular.

The staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and sauna were excellent.

Buffet breakfast was very good.

While the hotel was out of the way, the nearby Asiatique (frequent shuttle bus provided) is great for shopping and dining. And downtown is only a 60 baht taxi ride.

Room Tip: Club room is well worth the extra.

This is a large full service hotel that will give you the basics if you need a place to sleep with services without personal services or ambiance. They are remodeling some of the rooms so I would make sure to ask. Air conditioning is unreliable.

Room Tip: Hotel was in its hay day probably 20 years ago. Very tired. They are redoing some of the rooms so I...

Stayed here as part of an all women's tour. I have difficulty believing that this hotel is considered a high end hotel. Rooms are dingy, worn down and in dire need of an update and some renovations. Beds are horribly uncomfortable, and if you want more than 1 pillow, you have to call housekeeping to get them. Views are OK, nothing to write home about. Hotel food is not very good either and is quite ordinary and plain - what a shame, since I was anticipating excellent Thai food everywhere I dined in this country…not the case. Location by the main freeway is also not very appealing. I would not return to this hotel nor can I recommend it unless you are prepared for very mediocre experience.

Every year when we go to Koh Samui we stop two nights in this fantastic good Hotel. The service is of the best you can get, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the viev are great to the river and bridges. The location is also very good with only approx 45 min with taxi from the AirPort and about 500 bath.
From the Hotel you also have free shuttle bus to the sisterhotel Montien in towncenter.
The Hotel also have a number of good restaurants! and the breakfast is just marvellous. The swimmingpool in the 6th floor is also very nice to do some relaxation.
May be the best of all is the feeling og good space all over.
Be sure, here we come back as long as we can.

Kind regards
