We stayed 1 night on 17 july 2012 in STATE ROOM. The room was outstanding with panoramic/balcony view of Chao Phraya river. The service was also amazing that we never found from another hotels in bangkok, you can always get help from your own butler. We will definitely return back to the hotel very soon.Highly recommend.

Absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in, in Asia. The restaurant, spa and bamboo bar were great. The jazz in the Bamboo bar was fabulous, really a highlight. A really nice holiday. I rarely write reviews but I loved my stay. Thank you Oriental!

Room Tip: river view

An excellent hotel that effortlessly looks after guests, no fuss, no flouncing or bumsnogging.
No need to remember your name or your favourite drink, no petals or towel origami on your bed or in the bath! Just a good hotel with good service.
Just one more point, they do have too many meeters and greeters on the entrance who blatantly think they are too good or perhaps weak to assist with luggage!

We spent a day here, in The Author's Lounge, having our wedding there.

From start to finish the Oriental exceeded our expectations. Not easy to do as we're both frequent travellers and demanding!

K Maneerat ("Nok") was the sales contact person and she was very pro-active, flexible and helped us make all the arrangements.

We arrived at 4:30am, for hair and make-up. The room was lovely, ready and they even arranged for pressing of our clothes 1 hour ahead of the normal staff being there.

The Author's Lounge itself had been set-up exactly as we asked for, thanks to K Maneerat. It was perfect.

Another outstanding person at the Oriental was K Anusit ("Tum"). He was with us during the entire ceremony and ensured everything ran perfectly. He advised us through the Thai and Western ceremonies, ensured we were always in the right place at the right time, the staff did as expected, drinks were replenished and even ensured we both had fresh flowers every time we changed outfits!

The food was excellent and all the guests commented it was fresh, delicious and plentiful.

All in all, well done Oriental. We highly recommend this as a place for wedding ceremonies.

Room Tip: Authors Lounge wing is intimate and the rooms are great.

Stayed for 3 nights at the end July and enjoyed every minute at the hotel. Very curteous, friendly and proffesional staff. Nice room and public areas, good resterauns and bar. Particularly enjoyed Lord Jim's, the food was excellent and good value, and the views over the river gave it a special setting.

Would definately stay again.

Best and friendliest service ever. If You can afford, don´t pick an alternative.
Spent a couple of days by the pool with my family and we loved the athmosphere and the total service. We got early check-in without asking for it and missed breakfast but the staff solved it anyway, in the best manner.
Will be back !
