“Peace in the city”

This hotel offers impeccible 5 star service from start to finish. The lobby is refined and check in is effortless. The rooms are spacious, clean, big bathrooms, with a nice view of the river. One of my favorite features of the room is the ability to open the curtains, turn off/on the lights, control the temperature do anything from a little console on the side of the bed. The best parts of this hotel can be enjoyed outside. The breakfast brunch on the riverside is wonderful. The pool is such a great break from the busy city, and relaxing to swim with full service. Lastly the spa is a must! I got upgraded to one of the spa suites and had the best thai massage of my life. You can get massages much cheaper outside the hote but the spa is truly incredible. The Penisula is such a nice retreat to come back to after a day in the busy busy city of Bangkok.

Room Tip: If you can splurge go for a river view. The corner rooms are oddly shaped with narrow dressing quart...

When traveling to Bangkok for vacation, its a must for me to stay next to the river. My two favorite hotels are The Peninsula and The Mandarin Oriental. Both are amongst the best hotels on the planet. Peninsulas advantage is that the rooms are slightly bigger, that the SPA and fitness room is in the hotel itself (across the river from The Mandarin) and that the hotel is less crowded with people stopping by to look at the hotel or just have lunch or dinner. The last point is also its weak point; the restaurants at the Mandarin are better and the crowd a bit more exciting as its blending with nicely dressed and well behaved guests. The chinese restaurant at the Peninsula should be changed into a Nobu or a Hakkasan type of establishment to create a bit more funky feeling at the hotel. Other than that, its a hotel that never disappoints you in any way. I have stayed there since 1996, on average twice a year, and I have yet to complain. Stay at the Peninsula but have your dinners elsewhere! The food course for kids is a treat!!

Awesome property that never fails to deliver the a game. Staff helpful beyond exepectations, food first class. Rooms of the exacting peninsula standard. Hong pen offers more history but this one has all the rest of the great peninsula levels of service in abundance.

This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. It is perfect. This is the second time me and my husband have stayed here and we want to go back just for the hotel never mind Bangkok......
Luxury on a stick, this is how hotels should be. It is so good you could live in it, it has everything.
The staff are delightful and so very obliging. Nothing is too much trouble.
The Spa is tremendous and although a little pricey you get value for money.
Love the pool and spent many hours lying under cover and getting in and out of the hot tub and then cooling off in the beautiful pool. I am not a swimmer or sunbather but could not resist this, also it is never full there is always plenty of room. You can have a snack or a meal by the pool. Water is brought to you every hour - superb. One good thing is they do not allow you to book a bed, if you leave it for more than 15 minutes your things are removed and stored for you, to let someone else use the facilities.
The food is second to none. The buffet breakfast was great and the Thai Restaurant wonderful - again pricey but delicious.
Cannot fault this hotel in any way. Brilliant. Well done to the owners.

Room Tip: Any floor is great. We have been on floor 21 and floor 6, both exactly the same with a wonderful vi...

Stayed for 4 days/3nights in a grand deluxe room. Got one on the 32nd floor. Requested for the Rolls Royce transfer from Suvarnabhumi to the hotel. Chauffeur very attentive. Cold towels and water available in the car. Loved the in-room check in service and jasmine garland they gave us upon arrival at the hotel. Great amenities such as double sinks, foyer with spearate dressing area. Our room felt like it had a separate bedroom. There were fireworks during the last night of our stay due to someone's party.

The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food. Very delicious. Concierge was speedy and efficient. We got private tours of the grand palace and emerald buddha from the hotel's affiliate.

I especially loved the hotel's boat service! We tried all of the routes, to the peninsula pier lounge to get to the nearby Robinson's behind Shangri-La, the river city pier to get on the dinner cruise, and to the skytrain pier to get on the BTS. All staff very attentive. Even offered to take our photos on the boat to get the best views. Will definitely recommend this hotel and return! Twas the best part of our stay in BKK.

Room Tip: Get a high floor room. Great views of the Chao Phraya.

Spent three nights here. Fab hotel and great staff. Rooms a little dated but very comfortable. Only issue is you are on wrong side of river but hotel provides shuttles on river.
