Me and my fiancé stayed here for our Anniversary last two years for 9 days we had a great time ... And this year we stayed there for his birthday .. Breakfast is great love the croissant ! We tried there spa this time it was so good ... Will recommend to try the aromatic massage ... Will never forget this one .... Keep away to the traditional Swedish not so good . It's lovely to see the boat in the morning ... And thiptara rest. We've always love dining here but this time somehow the quantity reduce like the steamed sea bass before they serve whole fish now it's only the fillet .

We have been staying at the Peninsula since it opened in 1900 (or thereabouts).
It is still immaculate, unchanged except for improvements, and has the best rooms in the world.
Maybe that's a big claim, but I stick by it. The rooms all have views across to the other river bank- Oriental and Shangri la (good but not as good!) which is better than looking the other way!
The little Peninsula boats to the other side are fabulous, regular and a great way to travel. Nothing like the short trip home by boat!!
Pool is sensational, good fitness centre.
The best breakfast buffet in the world too. Eating out by the river a terrific way to start the day.
Such a nice place it is hard to leave. Sorry about the sugary review, but each time I go there it is better than the last!!

Room Tip: They are all good I think. THe hotel has a 'single loaded' corridor, so they all face the ri...

From the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out, we loved the Peninsula Hotel. My friend and I booked here for five nights and can't be more pleased we chose this hotel. Right from check-in the accommodated us with a room on a high floor the head beautiful views over all the city. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed with fruit plates and very nice turn down service. The room is in great shape, though I did find it slightly dated.

Other highlights of the hotel, besides its wonderful staff is the fantastic breakfast (definitely recommend getting it as part of your package, though you won't need to eat again until dinner!), the pool, which is a serene getaway from the hustle and bustle of BKK and the convenient fairy shuttle to the mass transit (take the subway and water ferries over taxis if you can), the mall and the ferry stop.

We also ate dinner at one of the restaurants (thai restaurants on the terrace) and found it reasonably priced for a five start hotel and delicious and overall. The hotel is a gem and is prefect for all types of travelers to BKK.

Room Tip: High floor, so you have a better view of the city and corner rooms are a little more spacious.

I travel to Bangkok once a year and I always stay at the Peninsula. The decor of hotel does not exude modernity like many others, but rather gives a very distinct, classy vibe. The service is excellent! All the hotel staff I've encountered were completely attentive to us, even when we did't have any specific request. The breakfast buffet is amazing, one of the top breakfasts ever encountered. The wide breakfast selection will definitely keep you full until dinner. The spa was heavenly and also a must do every time I go. Although situated across the river, the hotel provides free river shuttle service to the BTS station.

The only time I was disappointed, though not entirely the hotel's fault, was with the taxi that picked us up to go to the airport. The driver made a 8km detour and would not change his route even when we told him that he's making a detour and that we've been to Bangkok several times and know exactly how to get to the airport. We called the hotel to make a complaint since we got on at hotel. The manager was suppose to update us regarding this driver to see if his company was affiliated with the hotel but we never received the email. While this isn't a big deal, we expected Peninsula's exceptional service team to follow up with their promise.

All in all, a fantastic hotel definitely worth the stay. Will definitely be back the next time!

The hotel is located in riverside. Need to take the exclusive hotel shuttle boat to the nearest Skytrain station S6. It is very fantastic while traveling on the river. The overall hotel services are very good except the waitress in the buffet breakfast. She is responsible for seat arrangement but her attitude/service was very poor. Anyway, enjoy the stay in the hotel except the service from that waitress.

We are regular visitors to Bangkok, however, it was our first time staying in The Peninsula Hotel. We have tried all the restaurants there. The food and the service are perfect! The first expereince staying in the hotel was excellent. The room is well-decorated in British style. The view is outstanding. My family and I came across some uncomfortable incidents, it was out of our expectation that the Director of Food and Beverage ( Thomas vaucouleur de Ville d' Avray) invited us to have a chat. He was so nice that he explained the cases in details and offered us some nice gift. See, The Peninsula Hotel is the best hotel I have ever expeienced in BK. Can't wait to visit the hotel again! The Peninsula Hotel, we will be back again!

We spent 2 nights there on arrival in Thailand last month. I can't imagine a nicer way to start the holiday. Whether sitting on the river terrace watching the boats go by, to the fantastic pool and the classic but luxurious rooms, all accompanied by exceptional service. Food was expensive but not overly so for a 5* hotel, and it was excellent. Felt like royalty. Can't recommend it highly enough.
