This resort is unbelievable. This best service that I have ever received in my life. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect!! From the moment we stepped out of the taxi on arrival to the resort we were treated like VIP's. We will definitely be back.

My stay at the Peninsula started a little rough - had arranged for an airport pick up and when I arrived there was a sign for the hotel, but nobody behind it. After some searching I found him and got into a rather nice BMW that was supposed to have Wifi. For those that have suffered evening traffic in Bangkok, you will understand how important that is to get work done. Wifi didn't work and the driver was rather preoccupied with checking his own phone and almost crashing twice. So 1.5 hours later when I arrived, I was not overly pleased. And then came the Assistant Manager Yukari and her impeccable manners and management. She listened carefully and somehow in the midst set the team in motion to do a room upgrade to a gorgeous junior suite. An apology followed and a commitment to get to the bottom of it, which she did with a return call within 2 hours (it is a private contractor that organizes these trips). This was followed by taking half the price of the return trip off, and upgrading me to a rolls royce ride back to the airport. And last but not least, the next day came a small apology card and literally a tower of small chocolates. This is customer service. The rest of the stay was perfect - quick room service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and no complaints. So it goes to show that the quality of a hotel is not just making good experiences better, but also in how they address situations when things go awry. Well done Peninsula!

Staying at Peninsula Bangkok makes the city visit much more pleasant -- when you arrive at the Hotel you feel like you are out of all Bangkok mess and noise while, in fact, you are in the middle of everything, but every single detail in the hotel helps to make you fell like in a different environment. The service is excellent, the restaurants are great (specially the Thiptara - Thai food) and there are no words to describe how good the spa is. If you came from a big city (like me) this spa gives you the relaxing experience that you probably are looking for. We recommend to reserve some time to spend at the Hotel (pool, spa, restaurants, etc). These may be among the best things you will do in Bangkok. My husband and I spend our honey moon in Thailand, and they offered special amenities for the occasion (of course, requesting in advance is needed).

We ordered a BMW 740 hotel limousin with wifi to pick us up at the airport. When we enter the Peninsula we didn,t like the right side to look at, I should advise to break down the old flatbuildings and build new ones with shops and restaurants to upgrade the entrance of the hotel. We entered the hotel and a hostess brought us to our room and checked us in. Excellent bathroom
Room on the 7th floor with a balcon and a fantastic vieuw on the Riverside and on the other side of the river the Mandarin Oriental, the Shangri La and LeBua Tower with fantastic restaurant The Breeze and the Scirrocco.
Of course we had a fantastic dinner in the Riverside restaurant of the hotel, a must to eat there.
Lunch at the swimming pool very nice. Breakfast very good only we didn,t like the coffee from the big cans.

We have stayed once in november 2011 and it was great. The food was excelent and we tried the local food and also the internatinal food and both were fine. We found the ambiance right beside the river, with relaxing music and warm weather very delightfull. The room was very comfort, large, clean with a pleasant smell and with a great view to the river. We did not experienced the Spa, because we spent just a few days, but for sure we will return to spent a relaxing time at the spa. Finally, The hotel staff gave as very warm reception, always ready to fill our needs and solve any problem. Great!! Outstanding!!

I was in this hotel for a conference. While the property and rooms were expectedly luxurious and beautiful, their service was what was outstanding. All staff have been universally well trained to anticipate the needs of the customers and look genuinely interested in serving the patrons. The room has a beautiful view of the river and there are free and frequent ferry services to get around. The food is superlative in all restaurants.Conference facilities managed flawlessly and all without making their presence intrusive. Will certainly come again and congratulations to the staff and management of this hotel for setting such a high standard .

Room Tip: All rooms facing the river are good and the higher floor the better

My husband and I chose the Peninsula for the first night of our honeymoon in August 2013.
We decided to arrive in style and booked the BMW limousine service, after a wonderful drive to the Peninsula, we were greeted wih flowers and brought straight up to our room for a check in.
Due to our early arrival we were offered a complimentary breakfast that arrived within 5 minutes, as well as a bottle of champagne and a personal card.
The level of service and friendliness blew us both away, our room was amazing with stunning views from our 35th floor balcony. The attention to detail was superb, and the bathroom was immaculate!
I had a spa treatment later that night, abit pricy but worth every penny for a great experience.
The breakfast was one of the best i have ever had with a great array if choices, you name it they had it. As we are both foodies, this was right up our alley!

After 3 weeks on Koh Samui & Koh Phangan, we had an open booking to both Peninsula & Mandarin Oriental for our last night, but due to the amazing service and a wonderful stay, we decided to come back to Peninsula to finish off where we started.
I decided to email the hotel to thank them for the service, as well as cancelling our BMW transfer for the last day, due to a slimmer wallet then at the beginning, and got a lovely reply.

Upon check-in we were offered a complimentary upgrade, and ended up in their deluxe suite, one of the most beautiful "rooms" i have ever seen, a large sitting room & office and a separate bedroom, all with Panorama views all over Bangkok, what an amazing gesture!!
We loved every second of it, and tried to stay awake for as long as possible before our very early departure the following morning.

Thank you so very much dear Peninsula, you gave us the best possible start and end to our honeymoon, and really showed us what the Thai hospitality and friendliness is all about!
When we come back to Thailand, we will definately book a stay with you!

Kind regards,
Mr & Mrs Theodorou (booking made in my maiden name - Gundersen)
