I have enjoyed my stay at this property very very much. The rooms are spacious and the Staff impeccable. Breakfast is served outside and you can sit and watch the river. A free shuttle boat will bring you to the subway. Great hotel !

We stayed at the Peninsula a couple of summers ago and after many hours of flights, it was heaven to get to the serene lobby. We were upgraded and quickly whisked up to our room with a gorgeous view of the river. The hotel itself was lovely, with incredible amenities and those high-tech touches that make blinds go up and down.
Breakfast was marvelous, make sure to have it outside. I do need to warn you that this hotel is kind of isolated from the city. That was exactly what we were looking for so it suited us perfectly but if you want to be in the thick of everything and walk to the temples from the hotel this is not the hotel for you....

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a River view

Dear MCastle83,

Warmest greetings from Bangkok to Boston!

Thank you for sharing a detailed account of your experience during your recent stay with us. We are delighted that you have acknowledged what makes our hotel truly unique—it’s location. Situated on the shores of the Chao Phraya River with stunning views of the city skyline, the hotel is an ideal place for those who are looking to escape the city jungle while still being able to reach all major attractions, including the city’s centre, with ease. Our shuttle boats and the BTS Skytrain provide seamless access to all areas of Bangkok, and I trust that you have taken advantage of this convenient way to travel around the city during your stay with us.

We would welcome the opportunity to have you back soon.

Kind regards,

Booked suite over a short stay, overlooking the river, amazing views, and excellent customer service, wonderful breakfast, truly 5 star interior and exterior, the superior suite was amazingly elegant and classic furniture. Value for money. Had dinner at this amazing hotel's restaurant on the river.

We were there from 17th to 20th July and could not stop ourselves to join them again on the last weekend of 31st July to 03rd August ! Bangkok is the paradise of relaxation especially when you join with Peninsula Hotel ! You don't need to worry this or worry that as Peninsula Hotel form a very professional team ( from the front desk, house keeping, restaurant etc .... everywhere ) to take care of you and your other half. Everytime when we have the question and problem - they give us very good advises and help us to solve the problem ! You always see the similing people all around ! In the Morning - the Thai chef ( he is a wonderful guy and we like him so much ) come along and ask you what you need and try to do his best and it is really amazing ! We are planning our next trip and of course we will join Peninsula again, no doubt !

Room Tip: corner suite are large and sunny !

we've been staying at the peninsula bangkok almost once a year since our first stay back to year 2007. But this is the first time I would like to write a review.

lovely environment, beautiful river view, great food, friendly staff... everything just perfect for a relaxing stay. we stayed there for few days and spent nearly half of our time in the hotel..

One thing to mention, the SPA. It was extremely nice since it's opening in 2007.. but the services standard has dropped year by year... The therapist is just doing "mechanical" style massage without pampering the guests with warm greetings and heartfelt services as before.. I wish this is not because of the package that we chose though it seemed to be the reason.

Overall, this is a great hotel for those who would like to have a nice escape in Bangkok. (not recommend for those who are looking for convenience location)

Dear ZaWong,

Thank you for being such a loyal guest at The Peninsula Bangkok. Like many others, you have recognised what makes the hotel a true urban resort with its convenient access to the city by our shuttle boats and the BTS Skytrain.

We appreciate that you have brought your observations of The Spa to our attention because feedback is very important to us. Even though we have just been awarded the “Best Hotel Spa in Asia” by Travel + Leisure Magazine last month, it seems that we still have room for improvement on our service and offers. Rest assured that we will work even harder with our team to make sure that upon your return to The Peninsula Bangkok, your experience will be a more pleasant one.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

My sister and I visit Bangkok normally once a year. In July this year we stayed at The Four Seasons; Peninsula and Intercontinental. This is our review for The Peninsula.
Like at the Four Seasons we were greeted by several staff members as the car pulled into their entry. We were then taken to our rooms for the check-in process. What you immediately notice as you enter the room is the stunning view. It is magical. The room is spacious, the bathroom glamorous and the design very practical. Like the Four Seasons the quality of furnishings is excellent and the curtains can be opened and closed remotely. The bed linen and towels are also of an excellent quality. But unfortunately the bed is far too hard---so much so that we sometimes woke with a sore hip. A much younger couple we met also complained of this; so much so that at times they took turns to sleep on the sofa.
The quality of the food at the Peninsula is excellent; from the extensive buffet breakfast to the very extensive evening buffet at their Riverside restaurant and to their very fine Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately their Thai restaurant is not air-conditioned so we did not try it. I feel another restaurant is needed in this hotel as it is a large hotel and a little limited with choice. I also think it a pity there is no club lounge. I think some guests would pay a premium to experience a good club level service like at The Four Seasons.
The pool area is beautiful and has an area designated as a quiet zone. This was very much appreciated.
The staff are friendly and very attentive to your needs. We had many a conversation with the management team and with the chef. It all adds to that welcoming feeling that is lovely when staying at a resort style hotel.
Would we stay again: If there was a softer bed option most definitely. But we can't expect any hotel to offer this so we would give it a miss. A pity as we enjoyed the facilities and food and the warmth of hospitality very much.

Dear Adagio 2014,

Thank you very much for the comments. Given that you have stayed in three hotels during your time in the city, you are indeed well placed to make such remarks. We apologise that the bed was too hard for your liking, but you will be pleased to know that we can offer alternative beds that are softer, so please do not hesitate to stay with us again. We will assure you a good night's sleep on your next visit.
