A good splurge for a couple of nights. Lovely rooms, pretty centrally located to shopping, markets, old town etx. Rooftop bar exy but good for a drink or too. Check out Baan Khanitha restaurant down the road for good eating.

Stayed in the One Bedroom Suite, absolutely loved it. The staffs are very hospitable and the hotel services are second to none. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant on the 63rd floor was amazing with breath taking views; they even gave our own private area. The Hotel also have their own private traditional boat which is ideal for a romantic private 5 course meal while travelling along the river seeing the magnificent sights of Bangkok. Highly recommend this.

Room Tip: Go for a city view room

The Banyan Tree in Bangkok is a haven of comfort within the chaos that can be Bangkok. Comfortable rooms, great service, fantastic bars and places to eat add up to a great experience. Cannot recommend highly enough, make sure you check out the pool and the roof top bar!

The service is amazing. We were checked into the hotel in our suite which gave the children time to chill out and explore the suite. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a huge lounge with dining table and microwave and sofas. The main bedroom was huge with an enormous ensuite bathroom. With a massive oval bath and a shower/ steam room. And separate toilet. The other bedroom also big had a lovely ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower and toilet cubicle.
The room came wi club lounge acces which had small meals available and a free neck and shoulder massage truly amazing! The breakfast was very good with eggs cooked as requested cold foods and various bread choices. A very enjoyable experience. The only downside the position meant we had to get transport as we were not near the river. There is also nothing near the hotel.

The service from arrival to departure was very pleasant. The rooms, grounds and facilities were clean but I am afraid this property is starting to show its age and Banyan Tree does not seem to be reinvesting in it. The food selection and quality was ok, but very expensive. This is my second visit to this property and probably will select another on my next visit to Bangkok.

Having completed a trip to Australia, we arrived at Bangkok for one night, and we stayed at The Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok's Downtown district.

Wow - what an experience. The Banyan Tree delivered a fantastic experience, which is a credit to their staff and hotel

Hotel review: Quite a tall thin building, which is along a strip of hotels in the financial area of the City. Pity that the hotel is not near the river, but still, the high rooms have great views of the city. The staff greeted us at the airport (we paid for the BMW 7 seater, which arrived promply to pick us up). The ever cheerful Mr Chow was the driver. Very talkative and friendly. We checked in on the Executive lounge on the 21st Floor. Great views, and beautiful lounge. Check in was super smooth, with great staff.

Room Review: We were upgraded to a suite on the 31st Floor. Amazing room, probably one of the best rooms and views i have been in. Breathtaking views of the city, with a raised bath and shower, so you can take a bath and with floor to ceiling windows, see the city. Lovely attention to detail right through the room. A true 5 star room. One little problem. The light switches were very confusing, i was unclear what switches turned on what lights.

Spa Review: Had a one hour massage with my wife at the Spa. Again, Fantastic! lasted 90 minutes, not the paid for 60 minutes. Fantastic girls in a couples room, giving a lovely deep tissue massage to my wife and I. Watch out for prices, but all in all, was worth while.

Food review: OK food at the Hotel. Dinner at saffron a little pricey, but nice views. Breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. Staff were attentive.

Bangkok City Review: I was disappointed with the City. Lots of people hassling tourists around the Royal Temple. Three seperate people told us that the temple was closed (it wasnt), and directed us to shops and tours. Annoying!. Public ferry down the river was nice.

Room Tip: Go for the package deal involving the Executive Club. You get free lunch and canapes and a great vie...
