I have stayed at this hotel many times throughout the years. I have bounced to the Le Meridien on suriwong Road and tried the new St. Regis, sheraton on the river etc. That said, I always seem to come back to this hotel. It's location is flawless with a covered bridge connecting you to the skytrain....and the walkway which now brings you across the street to the "terminal" the new megamall with many many food options in easy, airconditioned, walking distance....fabulous. This hotel's location is prime for people who love to shop and eat as you can get everywhere without having to take taxis....and get stuck for hours in traffic.

Only drawbacks are that the rooms are starting to look a little dated....that said, bed was very comfortable, the hotel is spotless and I am told that they will shortly do a soft refit. However I am not sure how Bangkoks new flooding issues may delay this....

They recognize me when I return, in Deluxe rooms coffee comes With the wakeup call free of charge.....any foreign language newspaper is also included. Their breakfast buffet is lovely always with a carved ham and the usual fruits and eggs etc. It really is a homey, lovely hotel. If I have one problem, it is that I often don't want to leave.

Happy travels....Cheers! NYC

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the Queen Sirikit conventions center....it is quiet and looks out on the la...

There are some amazing Sunday brunch options in Bangkok, but in my opinion, the Sheraton's "Jazzy Brunch" is the best. As its name implies, there is wonderful live jazz in "The Library" but the brunch is spread out across two major restaurants and lots of addtional open space on the restaurant level. It is difficult to know what the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit's Jazzy Brunch does NOT have - the choice is incredible, from Japanese Sushi, to Thai, Indian, Chinese, Italian and even a good old-fashioned British roast.

The hotel itself is impeccable. The staff are wonderful; the rooms are big and comfortable and the whole place certainly earns its place in the "Luxury Collection".

Our trip was Phuket focused - so we didn't give Bangkok much of a shake this time, but it was a great hotel for our short, whirlwind visit to this grand city. As soon as arriving from Phuket, the staff checked us in really quick (and they took our iPad to charge as we forgot our charger). They gave us very nice tips to tour the city in 12 hours. That was nice and we feel we got a good sense of the sights. The concierge was very helpful as well, we were able to get advice while out on the town.

Again, just like the Westin across the street, I feel this hotel is under-rated... not that I have much to compare in Bangkok. But I wouldn't hesitate staying here. Oh, contrary to what I thought, don't attempt to walk this... the map makes it seem you can walk to the sights. No way. I wish I had spent another day. Our flight was at 6am, they brought coffee up to us to get our early start going right. And our iPad came back charged for our trip back home. I'll stay here again!

Overall, the best ever hotel we have stayed. Near to everything, day or night. Hotel staff are amazing. The staff helped us to contact our transporter when we left our bag in the van to airport. Bag returned with a smile. Great hotel, amenities, food and staff. we really enjoy ourselves.

Another stay at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit and yet another great stay!

The location is great, the rooms are spacious and nice, the food is fantastic. The swimming pool is lovely.

But what stands out about the Sheraton Grande is the service...
Which is absolutely first class.

The best way to sum up the hotel is this...

You get the impression that the people who work there realise that you're paying more than
you need to pay for a hotel in Bangkok... and they do everything in their powers to ensure that you are getting absolute value for that extra money and have a great experience.

A great hotel!

Room Tip: Ask to be made Starwood Preferred Guest and put on an SPG floor.

Had another amazing time at SGS. Staff were amazing and room was always kept top notch...both nice for a hotel that has been around a few years.

We booked the sub-penthouse and were upgraded to the penthouse which frankly really surprised me (cost was more than double).

Will always stay at the SGS when in BKK.

The service at the hotel is top notch. You will feel pampered every step of the way. Even the entry-level room has the luxurious feeling, which is a testament to the Luxury Collection Hotels.

It has convenient access to the BTS and just a short walk to the MRT. The breakfast buffet spread is great and delicious, and the staff can easily accommodate any custom request you may have at the cook to order stations.

Room Tip: Weekend offers better deals for the rooms here.
