Stayed at the Landmark, Bangkok in October 2007 for 2 nights on the way from Oz. The staff of the hotel was very lovely and what important very helpful. Rooms were spacious enough and clean with all the facilities.
The good thing about the hotel is also its location. Very close to the metro system which made it easy for us to get around the city thus saving money on taxis. Not that taxi in Thailand is expensive, it's just more fun taking the tube.
Would definitely reccommend this hotel.

We stayed for 2 short stays of 2-3 nights each in May 2008. We had a junior suite which was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were excellent - very helpful and always with a smile. The buffet breakfast was very good and extensive. The hotel is very well situated on Sukhumvit road within a minute's walk to a skytrain station for access to the rest of Bangkok (we always use the skytrain rather than tuk-tuks or taxis since its so easy and you avoid the sometimes dreadful traffic congestion). The local Sukhumvit attractions are all walkable - we always go to Cabbages & Condoms - worth it despite the 'touristy' overtones. We had the impression that of several previous visits to Bangkok to other hotels that this one was the quickest to get too once the taxi had rerached the centre from the airport. Highly recommended

we stayed at the landmark for the 2nd part of our honeymoon, and i must say this is one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in! the place is luxurious and the service is impeccable, with all staff very friendly and courteous...

our room was lovely and comfortable, with an excellent power shower and amenities... only gripe was no DVD player but there are plenty of activities to do otherwise...

the hotel is very close to a train station, and not too far from the main shopping area... it is a bit of a distance to the main temples and grand palace, but we got a taxi there which was pretty cheap.

breakfast was excellent with fresh juice made on request, and a fabulous array of food on offer...

we visited the huntsman pub twice, which was a nice chilled out place to go on an evening, with a band performing every night at 9pm... who were pretty talented and sang in english very well... good food on offer in the pub too...

there is also a swimming pool which seemed decent (we could see it from our window) although we didn't actually visit it...

if i returned to bangkok, i would definitely visit the landmark again, as i though the service and facilities were excellent....

you must visit Crepes & Co on Soi Sukhumvit 12 for the best crepes i've ever had!

If you are visiting bangkok for the first time, beware of scam artists telling you attractions are closed - they will take you somewhere else to get commission from you shopping! luckily we were prepared but sadly many people must fall for it...

Excellent classy hotel with exceptional service. I only paid $100 US / night which was extrememly high for Thailand but well worth the price. Exceptional amenities and service. I also chose this place because they have a full gym there similar to a 24 Hour Fitness or Crunch in the USA. All state of the art gym equipment and free weights with treadmills and cardio equipment. Close to the Nana Sky Train Station that goes everywhere in Bangkok. Only 2 stops to Siam and MBK Shopping Centers. Across the street from street market. Also check out Amari Boulevard Hotel across the street. Nice hotel but very noisy in a shady side street.

I stayed here for only a short time, but I thought the price was decent and the location was good. right in the middle of the city, close to the monorail system that they use. it was a very business-friendly hotel. i felt like a lot of people that stayed here were in town for business, therefore it was a nice hotel with a lot in it, and very big, but less cozy than it was practical. i was in bangkok to sight see and didnt really care about the hotel i stayed in aside from location, price, safety, and a general cleanliness. in terms of those characteristics, i would recommend this hotel. the hallway smelled a little bit like cigarette smoke, but the room was very practical and had everything you would need, including a nice view of the city. we had the standard, cheapest room. there was a lot in the hotel itself, including bars, restaurants, fitness center. i did not stay long but i would recommend this hotel to people anyways. the concierge were helpful, there was a nice turn down service, and good location if youre in the area to sightsee or shop.
