Reviewed 4 July 2014

I stayed at this hotel in april, the staff is very helpful and location is quite strategic. The atmosphere is quiet and fairly close to the shopping area. I definitely recommend this place and would go back again! a fine experience.

Do not use 'Oh I see' travel agent around the corner from the hotel. We were completely ripped off and lied to by the travel agents. They also use fake names and numbers for different tourists to cover their backs. Please don't make the same mistake we did as it could ruin your experience. Bangkok palace... definitely not a palace. The hotel smelt musty and generally unclean, the room was very basic and the shower was dirty and covered in limescale. The pool was dirty, outside chairs were dirty, pool bar was deserted. The hotel was massive but generally seemed empty. Reminiscent of the hotel on 'The Shining'. Most of the staff didn't speak a word of English and those who did didn't speak much, we spoke a little Thai and even with this basic understanding asking the staff for anything was very difficult. Don't think the hotel is in a good location for anything as there aren't really any places you can eat, the main attractions like temples are all a drive away. Would recommend anyone not to stay here but instead to stay near koh San road as there is a really good atmosphere there, there are more places to eat and it's closer to temples etc.

I stayed at this hotel for three days,in April,2014. It is a very cultured environment and management has provided excellent amenities. the service staff is very quick in responding to alerts, interior decoration is highly aesthetic, near to great shopping mall, Laborers' museum, are all very near. It is true that rooms are not much decorative. But I did not feel any inconvenience there. The counter staff is soft speaking, assisting. Refreshments are costly, but fresh. English music provided at the lobby bar is very fine. The singer I heard on that day had a melodious voice and emotional.

Room Tip: This hotel is costly(nearly 4000/- Thai baths) but if you can offer it, it is worthy to stay as it i...

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The hotel is by no means 4 or 5 start standard. It's pretty basic and so is the service. I was directed to the concierge when I asked reception where the nearest metro station is as I wanted to go to the Lumphini Boxing Stadium. The concierge then tried to sell me a ringside seat for 3000 Bhat. When I said I don't need a ticket and only want to know where the metro station is he became aggressive and said I wouldn't be able to find it and should take a taxi for 200 Bhat that he would arrange. I explained that I am capable of finding my way around and only wanted to know where the metro station is as I didn't have a map. He became worse. As I started to walk off he said that if I go outside and do not find a taxi cheaper than his I cannot come back because he will not call a taxi for me. I was gobsmacked. This is an employee of this allegedly 4/5 star hotel. Having said that some of the staff were helpful. It's a shame that there is no consistency in the level of service.
ALSO THERE IS NO FREE WIFI. IT COSTS £2 HOUR EVENTHOUGH THEY ADVERTISE THAT THERE IS FREE WIFI.

The hotel has got a 4 Star rating ,but the room decor is not even worth of a 1 star hotel. The switch board, shower handle everything is too old. Moreover the staff couldn't find such a rude staff in thailand anywhere.
Will never go back to this hotel and never recommend it.

Room Tip: select a room which is in the corner as the corridor is very conjusted and there will be lot disturb...
