Stayed here while on business. If I had picked the hotel, I would have wanted to stay at the Four Seasons, but my colleagues chose the Conrad. After staying there, I would come back if I ever visit Bangkok again. It was a wonderful stay. The room was fantastic with a nice sitting area, comfortable bed, updated furniture and decorations that gave a feeling of warmth and relaxation. There was fresh fruit and bottled water (tap non-potable) each day. The bathroom included a standing shower and free-standing tub. The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. The restaurant was nice and the food that I had was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Back in October, we took a mad, but fun three-and-a-half day trip to the wonderful city of Bangkok. What a fabulous place to be: great people, great sights, great food, great energies. I highly recommend a visit, whether as part of a tour of South East Asia or just a one-stop vacation in itself.

We chose to stay at the Conrad, which is next to the embassy district, so in the posh part of town. We opted for an executive floor room and we were not disappointed. Despite the 12 hour flight from London and in need of a shower, we were welcomed very nicely on the ground floor and immediately whisked up the executive lounge in order to be checked in. "Sawadee krup" (hello!) were offered and drinks poured while the staff called up our reservation and got our room prepared.

The room was beautiful. Great views of the surrounding areas and great amenities, including the nice elephant toys and rubber duck with the Conrad branding that you are free to take home with you as souvenirs. Once we'd popped the iPod on and unpacked our clothes, we headed back to the lounge, just in time for drinks and appetizers. Again, service was very attentive - very efficient, yet not too over-bearing, and always with a lovely smile - and there was always a dizzy array of food and drink on offer. Breakfast each day was a real treat, too.

The hotel is just walking distance to the skytrain and you can get pretty much anywhere on that. Also, the subway is just 10 minutes walk away, past the US and Japan embassies. The swimming pool and spa area is lovely, too. We sat by the pool, sipping cocktails, not wanting our little jaunt to Bangkok to end.

One great tip for a great Thai dining experience. Go to Baan Khanitha for great food, wonderful service and a wine menu that rivals any Western version. The staff in the lounge at the hotel sorted us out with dinner reservations in just a few minutes.

Writing this review of the hotel makes me want to get on the next flight back to Bangkok and stay at this wonderful establishment. If you are ever headed to Thailand, make sure you head off to the Conrad and indulge yourself in the wonderful Thai hospitality.

The hotel was great. The room was quite spacious and the food was great. Its location was also a big plus with the MTR station nearby. There were plenty of options to choose different types of cuisine.

We visited this hotel 1st time in 2005, this Christmas we made a trip to South Thailand & stopped by Bangkok only to stay in this hotel. The service is splendid, the staff takes special care of every need. If you do stay in the executive rooms, you gain access to the Executive lounge which I would say is an experience in itself. We visited North Thailand in Dec 2008 & once again stopped by Bangkok, only for a stay at Conrad Bangkok. Now we are flying to singapore next week & stopping by the Conrad again just for the sheer pleasure of a comfortable stay & excellent relaxing experience. The hotel has a lovely Spa & well equipped gym for people like me who wouldnt neglect a good workout even while on vacation.

THE CONRAD - rooms very nice and complete- better than its southern neighbor the Plaza Athenee- exec floor had 5 brand new Macs free to use- breakfast buffet not much on exec floor so have breakast downstairs which was great-- -----pool not as nice as Sheraton Grande, but then again nothing is------- gym- slightly better than average- Negatives: its even farther from the skytrain than Plaza Athenee on a not well lit street-----and for those of us who make dinner out of exec floor free snacks with evening drinks- that was hard to do here-

I have to say and admit, I love Conrad hotels. The design, the look of the rooms is what I like, efficient, clean and with a nice bathroom to take a bath or a rain shower and relax. My favorite pick at Conrad is the Tokyo one, but this one is very nice. Service is good, breakfast very complete with a range of food going from western food to Asian (dim Sum). Bed is good and pillows are very very comfortable. Don't forget to bring the elephant back from the bathroom!
