“Nice International Hotel at a fair price”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 December 2013

The hotel is close to the main street of Bangkok in a very crowded environment. It is structured in three different towers and I was in the third one. Rooms are fairly clean and quiet, with air conditioning and all it is needed (even a small microwave and a large fridge). Personnel is very professional even though some of them do not speak good English. Breakfast is great and if you sit in the outer patio you can also enjoy the ectic street in which the hotel is.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor more distant from the noise of the street. They have smokers and non smokers ro...

I'm staying here for the second time, which should say something!.there are three outstanding points about this hotel..it's a great location,it's a good price, and I love the space in my suite in tower B!
Love the buzz of Soi 11..A wide variety of eating places to choose from, just a few minutes walk from the hotel--Rosa Bieng,Chilli Culture and Limoncello,to name a few..loads of bars and night clubs,Villa Supermarket,Seven Eleven, street hawkers,music--you name it and Soi 11 has it!.and the Grand Pesident is sitting in the middle of all this!.
The suites in tower B are spacious and very comfortable..may not be the best in town, but you certainly get value for what you have paid..the girls at house keeping are very helpful..thank you Sunari, for all your help with our many requests..and the concierge boys are always happy to run out and explain to the taxi driver that we do NOT wish to go to our destination via Gems Gallery!
The downside of this hotel is the breakfast..inefficient and insufficient staff..the buffet tables become messy with the spilt food, that should have been cleaned moments after it was spilled..one live egg counter where you have to line up like you are in a charity line waiting for your share of the hand outs!.come on Grand President, you can,and must do better than that..I would actually recommend that you make a quick trip to Villa Supermarket which has a lovely array of meats and cheeses, and do your own breakfast in your room..the kitchenette is great,so use it!
Overall--a great place and I will definitely stay here again!

Had a good stay. Location and rooms are very good. However, service can be improved. If you are not staying in the main building its like staying in an inferior hotel. Though the rooms were still good.

Room Tip: Get some room in the main building. The outer building rooms are just fine but the ambience of getti...

This time in Bangkok we stayed at Grand President, largely for their good location. Admittedly is a bit old and worn out but overall the rates are reasonable and very centrally located and easily acceptable to BTS Sky Train Transport.

I've stayed in this Soi before at the Citadines apartments, so know the area pretty well. It's well located for Nana BTS station and a reasonable walking distance to other amenities. The hotel itself is in decent condition and the staff are friendly. The room was a bit disappointing, clean bedding but the cupboards were dated and needing repair. The kitchenette was functional with sink and microwave, but I can't help thinking the microwave is rather superfluous. You can get food so cheap that it's unlikely you'd want to buy food to heat in the microwave. There is a shuttlebus to the airport advertised at 1200 bhat per person (at least I think so) but the concierge can get you a taxi for 400 bhat flat rate. There's a gym which as a good range of machines and freeweights. The swimming pool is a bit small but adequate for a dip. All in all a reasonable stay, but think I'll go for room only or full kitchen (with hob) next time.
