In Sukhumvit Soi 11, just a short walk from Nana BTS station, this hotel location is very nice.
Plenty of eateries around, and Thai massage if you fancy. 7/11 and the likes will keep your supply of snacks and bottled waters. Money changers, tour and travel options, phone cards, in short, this is the right place for the right tourists.

The hotel has 3 towers. Reception (and the included breakfast) is in Tower 1. Tower 2 just next door, but Tower 3 is across the road.

Check in and check out is smooth and the staff are helpful with Thai smile.

My studio room in Tower 3 has a big fridge, microwave oven, tea/coffee making facilities and enough kitchen ware. I can imagine a small family can stays a few days comfortably in this kind of room. A TV set is there but I didn't have the time to watch it so I don't know if it is working or not.

Hot and cold water in the bathroom, good pressure.

Wifi (free) is quiet good. You can ask for a second username and password if you want to use two gadgets.

For a business trip or as a solo, this hotel is ok.

This place is overpriced for what it is. Old and small rooms, I was at the back of the hotel so it was quite quiet, but an awful view

Staff are nice and friendly

Breakfast is ok

There are much better places to stay for the price

I stayed here for four nights last week. The military curfew from midnight to 4am was in place. I experienced and observed no problems in this regard. Bangkok was very quiet.

I have stayed at the GP many times over the past ten years. The hotel has always provided me with good quality accommodation at a reasonable price and in a great location. Sukhumvit Soi 11 is a holiday destination all to itself. A traveller need go no further in order to experience the best that Bangkok has to offer.

I have stayed in various room types, but prefer the deluxe suite, a one bedroomed suite which is very spacious. The hotel facilities are all in good condition despite this hotel being quite mature. The three buildings all have separate pools with plenty of sun loungers and clear water, and there is a large gym in Tower 2 that has a wide range of equipment. The in-room wifi is free and is fairly fast and is available everywhere, including the lobby and coffee shop. The buffet breakfast is the only drawback for this hotel. When the hotel is busy, the scramble for food is quite daunting and the egg station is overwhelmed.

I stayed for four night in June 2014. The room was large with kitchen - large bedroom - and living room (including washing/drying machine). A view over the pool toward the skyline was nice as well.

The bathroom was outdated - pretty bad shower head (one hand held that didn't spray) and the second shower head didn't work. I always felt like I was going to fall as I stepped from the bathtub/shower onto the marble floor because as much as you try it's hard to keep the floor dry because of the way the shower is built.

The room was a non-smoking room but still smelled of cigarettes. Not sure if it was stale from the room - or coming from next door. I didn't use the pool but when I took my walk-about I don't think I would use it as it was dirty. The Steam Room was out of order and there is a sauna that was functioning - but I didn't check it out.

The washer dryer combo is a nice option - but it takes a very very very long time - so don't think you can throw stuff in in the morning and catch an afternoon flight without taking damp clothes with you.

Breakfast options were numerous - seemed a little chaotic and hard to find tables on a couple occasions.

I may return as some of these things I can overlook (not the cigarette) - location was central which is a big plus.

Room Tip: Ask for newer tower - high floor if you like city views

I have used this hotel few times and this time I have to mention it was the worst ever stay in my life. At the start chaos at the reception and then leading to a mouldy room. Shower was partially functioning and mould around bath tub. The towels were not cleaned and were used by others before. when I complained the staff were also arrogant and reluctant to replace any. The internet was turned off at 3am and never had service up till 11am. I went to the reception on the 7th of june early morning and I had to go to the loo, but the guy at the reception reluctant to open the toilets for me? Human rights???? So I had to go back to my room to go to the toilet. I will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. There are few other hotels near by, Le Fenix, Citadine and Salil. try those. I sincerely hope the management will get rid of the arrogant staff who were present on the 7th of June 3:30am at grand president and bring back the normal friendly staff.

This hotel has a good location in Sow 11, in a touristic area with a lot of restaurants and bars around. The rooms are small but clean and well-appointed. But the swimming-pool was very dirty when I came.
