Hotel sited in Sukumvit, 5min walking from the sky train stop. Rooms are quite large, silent and clean, with all the amenities you need.
Hotel has a very good SPA for massage, a little bit more expensive than the massage center in the city, but the services are a very good level.
International breakfast with good food quality.
Very recommended.

Room Tip: If you need to check in before 1:00 PM you'll be asked to pay an early check in fee of 1000BTH.

We were in Bangkok for a stopover for just 2 nights. This hotel is in a great location for shopping and transport systems. Very welcoming reception at check in and all staff very helpful with all questions asked. Enjoyed a great Indian lunch in their restaurant. A great stopover location.

I stayed here on a family trip from Dec 29 2011 to Jan 01 2012.

As we were a group of 9 people, we had airport transfer included with price package at the hotel, it was really convenient and comfortable: the hotel guy was waiting for us at the exit of the airport and brought us to the hotel vans straight away; in order to make us feel comfortable, he loaded all of our luggage in a separate van while we rode another one. The convoy set off to the hotel that we reached in less than 1hr (it was late evening and the traffic was not too bad).

The luggage was all dropped at our rooms by a bagcarrying guy who wanted to be tipped at the end of his service.
Three of our group were to stay in a 3-bed room, but at the moment of checking-in there was no 3rd bed in the designated room, and the 3 room guests had to wait for the room to be re-asset. The reception pulled out some lame excuse about wanting us to first check if the room was fine before starting adjusting it. Senseless. In the meanwhile we went out for dinner though.
The rooms were quite decent and tidy. The ones at high floors of the hotels are the best as you can enjoy a good skyline from the glass walls of your room. The floor we were located, however, was a smoking floor, which meant that you could smoke in the corridor hall and this made the floor stink literally with smoke, that was quite disgusting. Luckily enough the rooms did not really reek as well.
On a positive note, everyone from the working staff was always very gentle and ready to help on any kind of issue, the receptionists were definitely delicious!

The hotel sported a great breakfast with an appreciable variety of things, actually the usual kind of food you find in any hotel in SEAsia but the quality was notable. Breakfast is open until 10.30am.
The top floor had an Indian Restaurant that I did not have the chance to try , but I heard it was quite good and well known in the new Bangkok area.

The hotel is located in a GREAT area: between the Soi 18 and 20 of the Sukhumvit road, it takes 5 mins walk to reach a SkyTrain station (Asok) which is 3 stops away from Siam Sq. (and everything there is down there), 2 stops away from CentralWorld Plaza, and 2 stops away from Thong Lo, which is THE clubbing area of Bangkok (for the youngsters interested in it). Around Rembrandt there are many other hi-stakes hotel that always organize parties at night and are filled with interesting people. Also, that area of Sukhumvit is literally filled with eateries and restaurants of any kind, from traditional local to western style.
Outside the Rembrandt main hall there is a small taxi stall were you can book taxis for and at any time of the day, bargaining on any price and getting amazing deals.
For the laziest or for who doesn't like to discover things alone, Inside the hotel there is a "Business Center" where you can book trips in and outside Bangkok with tour guides and transportation included in the price. Bargaining here is a little more difficult though.

The hotel bar sucks and its price rates are quite overpriced. We had 2 or 3 cocktails there which were completely forgettable and sometimes disgusting (see Martini).

The real problem with the hotel is one I think all of Thai hotels share: the internet access. In the lobby there were just 2 computers you were free to use, but if you wanted to use your own devices around the hotel you have to ask for one username\password ticket at the reception. They are completely free, but every-time you want to use Internet you have to login with expiration of an hours. This means that each hour one has to login back again with new credentials after having asked to the reception to give you a new password once again. It gets tiring early, honestly. I don't know why they wouldn't just liberalize the wifi everywhere in the hotel.

We had a request for late check-out that was confirmed prior to our arrival in Bangkok, so I think you should ask for it (of course it costs extra) at the time of your booking. The late check-out was at the same time of the departure of the transfer back to the airport: 9pm. Great, isn't it? Having available (and made up) rooms until the minute you have to leave!

However, overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to people who have enough budget: its position in the city is rocking and convenient. After all the hotel facilities themselves are comfortable and a good place to go back to after a day of full city-touring. There was a swimming pool but I haven't had even the time to see it: what fool would want to spend time in a swimming pool when you are in Bangkok for your first time??

Room Tip: The best thing that I can suggest here is the get a room at the highest floor available. For who do...

I was a believer in independent Spa/Massage shops. For convenience reason I tried the spa at
the rembrandt. midaged women by the name Khun Nung gave me the best sportmassage I can remember in the last few years.
For the facility in the spa is room for improvement (shower) As I was staying at the hotel I used my one.

This is a western style business hotel in a good location in central Bangkok. After 2 weeks in Bhutan this place was a major culture shock. We had a really great dinner at the Italian restaurant and an ok dinner at the Thai restaurant. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Internet is included but you have to get a new id and password daily.
