“Great location, good hotel”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Great hotel just off Sukhumvit Road, near shops and restaurants, Terminal 21 is less than 10 mins walk, definitely worth a visit especially food court Pier 21. Pool at hotel lovely fresh towels provided, pool loses the sun about 4.30pm, pool bar offers great value food and lobby her has happy hour 4.30_7.30 2 for 1 on selected drinks. Couple of beauty massage parlours on the same road as hotel Soi 18, foot, neck and head massage 200baht about £4 for an hour definitely worth a visit. Mini bar in room stocked with free still water, 7/11 across the road from hotel which sells soft drinks and alcohol at a fraction of the price.

Room Tip: Request a pool view

We stayed at the Rembrandt as part of a package deal through Premier Holidays. The hotel is well situated for the sky train so easy to get access to all areas. On arrival we were quickly checked in and appointed a room on the 12th floor with a good view of the city. The rooms are clean and well equipped with free wifi. Breakfast was tasty, varied and plentiful with attentive and friendly staff. We ate in the Italian restaurant one night where the food was nice and service good. The pool is clean and well maintained. The fitness room is well equipped and air conditioned which made it a pleasure to use. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Stayed at the rembrandt for three nights before travelling on today to phuket. We arrived middle of the night but room was ready , we stayed in a deluxe room and it was brilliant could not be faulted at all! Spacious bathroom and bedroom come lounge area mini bar, fridge plenty storage and a great view! The controls at the side of the bed were a great bonus and quite a quirk :) the pool at the hotel is lovely, good size and nice and warm, the area gets the sun for a good bit of the day! We would do our shopping trips sightseeing etc quite early and finish off mid afternoon with a sunbathe and a few drinks. As others have said the drinks are slightly more costly but your paying for the service after all! The poolside menu is also good and staff can't do enough for you... The only negative I have of the trip is that when I checked in I was asked to supply a credit card for deposit I asked the girl if any money would be taken as during stays at many other hotels some take an amount at the time and some simply pre authorise , the lady replied that nothing would be taken. As a result of being advised of this I supplied my pre paid holiday credit card used and loaded with money specifically for this trip.... Only to find a day later when checking my balance online that an amount of over £50 had indeed been taken! When I queried this at reception a girl on the desk advise it would be refunded after 7 days, at which point I advised them would no longer be in Thailand a concept they didn't quite grasp...I was quite upset by both the attitude of the staff and manager who rather rudely asked me ( once he got involved) where I had got the seven days from... Once I advised it was his staff who advised me this he couldn't do enough to help me and assured me the money would be refunded the midnight after I checked out ( we shall see) it was a bit of a case of too little too late as far as I'm concerned and the staff should really be clearer with guests. I wasn't going to let this spoil my stay but unfortunately on our last day we were short changed at the hotel lobby bar and only refunded our money once we looked at the reciept and queried this... Make sure you pay attention to what your paying as prices advertised don't include vat or a service charge . The hotel is in a great location for terminal 21 and asoke bts but please please use the steps and overhead walkway to get to the bts we didn't realise where it was and had to tackle the roads on day one and it was scary! At the end of the hotel road take a right, keep going until you see a woman begging at the bottom of some steps take the steps and follow the signs , once your used to it it's a doddle!

Myself and my husband stayed here for 4 nights while having a holiday in Thailand.

The hotel was amazing very clean and tidy. The rooms were spacious and bed was huge! (we had deluxe on 11th floor) views were great and could control lights and air con from a digital panel by side of the bed.

The staff were very helpful and always friendly.

The pool is a good size and the gym has a lot of equipment. The sun normally gets around the pool 11am ish.

We didn't get breakfast and just ate over the street which was very nice and cheap.

The hotel is only a short ( 5 min) walk to the sky train which is cheap
And easy to use ( also air con which is great) if u want to use taxi always ask them to put it on the meter.
We paid 250 bt from airport to hotel.

During my stay I had to visit the hospital, the hotel staff and nurse were amazing and really helpful they even delivered flowers and a get well card to my room for my return

I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it.

We had a brilliant stay at the Rembrandt bangkok.
The reception area is stunning, very cool and has a gorgeous fragrant smell throughout. It really offers a tranquil experience in such a big bustling city. We had a family room with bunk beds which was a great size with huge bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Breakfast was lovely everything you wanted, bacon, eggs, cereals, croissants, thai, fresh fruits, juices etc. We ate in the italian restaurant once, it was beautiful really good food. We were in bangkok when the military coop was announced and we didnt notice any unease etc. We visiting the floating market and which was lovely however we were ripped off when we arrived and paid over the odds for visiting some scam between the taxis and the market i think. Annoyed but our own fault for not researching more on the markets. The best experience was the day we went on the sky train and the ferry to the grand palace. It was a fantastic day. The sky train was so easy and cheap and they have air con
The kids loved it. The ferry from central pier to the grand palace was great. Looking at all the temples the amazing buildings and hotels along the river and also seeing the lovely rice boats. Just fab. The ferry stop at the grand palace there is a small market you walk through then you get to the palace. Ignore the people telling you its closed. Carry on walking its not closed. The grand palace was lovely but remember cover up! Fab hotel, excellent service and on the plus a fantastic roof top pool! Loved it x

The service, customer care and attention to detail are simply first rate. We always stay here whenever we come up to Bangkok because it feels like we are home, with family.
Every stay is an opportunity to eat at the Rang Mahal restaurant on the 26th floor. The views are great but the food is spectacular! After every delicious meal we go down to the lobby bar and listen to the resident pianist, Michael. He plays and sings a whole range of relaxing music, while we have the pleasure of very well prepared cocktails at the bar.
