“Average hotel !!”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

Stayed here with family in may 2013. Opted for this hotel as it was a last minute booking. The hotel lobby is ok- good looking but the same quality doesn't reflect in the rooms. Rooms are worn out and looks old. The bed was reasonably comfortable but overall outdated. The A/c had some trouble and had to call the support staff twice to get it corrected. The other staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is generally crowded with a lot of north Indians.Located in Soi 22 a bit far from the action Soi' s.But the surroundings are good - plenty of restaurants offering good food !!

Location
Located about 10 minutes walk from BTS station Phrom Phong, or for MRT Sukhumvit is about 15 minutes walk away. If you are coming from airport get off at Makasan on Air train and take taxi which should be no more than 60B if metered.
The hotel is about 3-400 metres down Soi 22 coming from Sukhumvit rd. This the quieter end of Sukhumvit compared to say the Nana station area. The road Soi 22 has more massage places than any other street, one after the other, there are some bars, some normal, some seedy. in the immediate vicinity by the hotel it is quite quiet with some restaurants and 7 eleven nearby amongst many massage places.
Room
The room is tired and worn out with scrapes on walls and furniture from age, decor is very much themeless, simple and random. Although spacious it is about 3 star standard (especially comparing to Thai standards) it is functional but don't expect luxury. There is a large bed in which was actually fairly comfortable, a TV from the mid 90's in which offers many channels from around the world but is basically unwatchable because it is not tuned in properly and hisses away with dotted images. There is a desk with marble top and small lamp, a straw chair and another long luggage rack and table with mirror. There is a fridge with some mini bar items basically all liquor. A adequate sized cabinet with a safe. Plugs are few, lighting is unusual a touch screen pad at door which is the only innovative modern item, the lamps have dirty shades but can be moved closer to bed to say read. The bathroom is also old, quite compact with a bath and shower combo. Amenities though are good with body lotion, shower gel in individual non branded bottles. There is no hair dryer. For less than fifty dollars a night it is acceptable but would not want to stay for more than 2 nights.
Facilities
The hotel has a WIFI which requires a password and it worked ok, it annoyingly does sign you out though if your not actively using internet for more than a few minutes. You need a different password for every device, but hotel don't charge you just have to request this at reception. There is a restaurant but did not use. A square simple but good size swimming pool but with very few sun beds around it, 3 only so get there early.
Staff
Staff are really nice and offer the usual pleasant Thai hospitality. Check-in was smooth and no issues with any staff, they acknowledge you when you come in.

Arrived at the hotel early in the morning (0900) but couldn't get in the room till 12 so we went for a walk. The hotel is very close to the shopping centres especially Emporium and the sky train is not far. We came back to the hotel and decided to have a drink in the lobby bar, you have to ask at reception as there is no bar man, the choices of drinks are good but the bar men have no idea how to make them and take 20 minutes per drink!
We were on the 14th floor. Not a bad view. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a buffet style, not a lot of choice if you don't fancy curry ………
The concierge is very good, the staff are very friendly.

I just returned yesterday. Hotel is at very good location but far from main markets like indra market, m.b.k mall etc. Rooms are nice but bathroom is very small . Careful of the taxi drivers standing outside the hotel as they can misguide you easily. Metro is the best option to go faraway markets. Indian restaurant is situated outside the hotel which is very helpful but very expensive , a cup of indian tea cost more then 100 RS. Top floors are better as u get more privacy and nice views.
Thanks
vikas

This hotel is close to everything, very easy get around Bangkok from here. The staff are very helpful and do all they can to help. The room is spacious with a nice view of Bangkok. The price is relatively good too.. We have chosen not to have breakfast here so I cannot comment on the food unfortunately.

Room Tip: Pay that little bit more for a room with a view it's well worth it

Room was small and television was outdated but their staff services were marvelous, good stay and very near to shopping, it was really a nice hotel if rooms have some more space. Breakfast was good and their service was also nice in restaurant, very funny to see a old man was singing continuously at evening without any audience
