“Value for Money”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

Stayed in this hotel from 30-Jan-2014 to 01-Feb-2014 (2 Nights) again as a group of 4 friends in 2 different rooms on 11th floor... We had booked the hotel through a travel agent in INDIA itself...

Overall experience was good though not satisfactory on certain parameters... This could be for the reason we stayed in the Superior (economy) rooms. Do not have exact idea about the higher priced rooms...

Location: Located conveniently on Soi 22 of Sukhumvit Road, where most of the things you need are easily available and accessible. Even you can find a nearby BTS (Railway) station Phrom Phrong just at a walkable distance of 5 minutes.

Hotel Property: Found hotel property to be bit old... Lobby was neatly done and clean. The carpets in the entire hotel needs cleaning. Astonishingly compared to the old structure the lifts are really super fast...

Rooms: Needs some renovations and maintenance to the rooms. The carpets in the entire hotel needs cleaning. Smoking should not be allowed in rooms due to which you can find a peculiar after smoke smell in most of the rooms; moreover the sliding glasses are fixed so you can not have a fresh air passing into the room. Bathrooms are quite small and old but found to be clean...

Swimming Pool: Swimming pool (located may be on 5th or 6th floor) looked good and clean from our room itself as we could not get enough time to experience the same...

Breakfast: Breakfast provided some good options including one or two Indian dishes and good combinations of some peculiar fruits, juices etc.

Hotel Staff: Found to be polite & helpful. Provided information whenever we needed. Attended to our bathroom problems at a very quicker time in the early morning at around 6.30 AM.

Overall I can say it's worth and value for money...

Room Tip: I guess Deluxe rooms could be a much better than the superior rooms...

I have visited Bangkok from 28/01/14 to 30/01/14.
I was really shocked to see the room interior. It was really stinky and old , seems never upgraded. old switches , old AC ducting, bathroom is very small, carpets are old and you can find dirty spots on it.
Manager don't care about the complaints made. Instead they will ask you to upgrade room.
Superior and Deluxe rooms are not upto the standard here. Lobby area is really nice to woo guests (its a trap). Though many says location is good but I personally felt that the location isn't that good. Though you have sky-bus connectivity, the road in front of the hotel is filled with hawkers and small scale massage centers. You have to dodge them before you come to main road.
I would recommend other hotels like Amari watergate , Montain for good stay.
Dont just go for pictures provided by hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher levels seems ok, but please find another hotel or check rooms first before checking...

This hotel is very good n pocket friendly too. Rooms are very spacious, clean and worth the money. It takes about 1 hour to get to from the airport which is about standard for Bangkok. It's about half an hour taxi from Bangkok in traffic, 15 minutes without.Near to BTS ,Robinsion & Terminal 21 shopping malls ... Overall its a very good hotel n I recommended to all... :)

Room Tip: Higher floor

On arrival I realised straight away with the very untidy and worn decor, dirty chairs and worn carpet that this hotel was far from a 4 star as it states it is.
We had a double room and it was clean but again very worn and tired. We noticed our toilet leaked so I alerted reception about this and they said they would fix it which they did, then the flusher broke as we where leaving to go explore Bangkok so again I told reception and they said they would fix it. I was gone all day and on returning the toilet had not been fixed and the leak had returned. I asked for a room change and an upgrade which they did. The location of this hotel is slightly out the way and the wifi legs you log in for 5 minutes at most then logs you out which is very annoying. I would not return to this hotel or suggest anyone to stay here. The price of a room does not reflect the quality or service of the marvel hotel.

Arrived thinking this was a four star hotel but after stepping foot in the room it hand mould in and around the bath tub, it had insects running around the wall and near the bed. Same was in breakfast area on the tables and walls. Could not stay there at all so booked in to holiday in just down the road great hotel. If you like insects this is the best place.

It's not what it looks like in the picture it's now very dated to say the least, the most decent place in the whole hotel is the lobby lol

Room Tip: No good rooms in marvel unless your looking to spend the least amount of money then it's worth i...

booked this hotel for a few days over New Years, excellent locaton and value for money. The Indian restaurant next door is worth a visit too. It only has a small pool but the sun is on it most of the day.
