“An ok hotel in the middle of Pratunam”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

My mom and I stayed here again without question because we were impressed with the location and fantastic breakfast years ago. It has gone downhill since then.

Granted, the hotel is very old, but the buffet breakfast needs a revamp. The same food every single day, and some of the dishes were either too sweet or too salty. The variety of dishes are great, although it would be better if stricter quality control was implemented.

There are only a few TV channels that are in English, and the same episodes are repeated at least twice a day.

Location is good, walking distance to the shopping spots although traffic there gets crazy.

I cannot believe that until today, the hotel doesn't provide free wi-fi.

Spent 2 night at this terrible hotel. Lobby & lift were warm & uncomfortable. Bath room is old & without air con, had to quickly take shower & get out. Only gave one access card so air con will be off while we were out shopping went en get back suite was warm & stuffy. The gym is a joke, with no air con or even fan to cool down. Gym instructor cold & unfriendly. Area surrounding the hotel are filling w stalls selling all kind of clothing, totally chaotic & hard to walk. Advice never ever stay here over price like crazy

Been there 8 times. The reception people know me. My favorite hotel in Bangkok City as its close to the Garments Shopping and also heart of Bangkok. The lady at the reception Mrs Pravina always allots me a good room. The hotel is old but all rooms are Suites. The room size is giant say about 550 Sq Ft. Never ever had a complaint. I visit twice a year.

Room Tip: Any Executive Suite above 25 Floors

Where do I start. When my Wife and I got to this hotel we thought we had booked a nice Executive Suite, that's a laugh! The room was one of the worse I have ever stayed in, I've stayed in better rooms in run down Blackpool, and that's saying something!
It was the most dark and dismal room you could imagine, the bed was rock hard & I mean rock hard! The bathroom was terrible, there was a big crack in the sink which had, had a bad repair job on it. The aircon unit, how can I explain about it, while wanting to keep cool at night, it was like having someone living next door to you who like to start his Santa pod dragster up every hour through the night! And then there were the cockroaches, which I didn't tell my wife about until we had left the hotel, otherwise she would of been out of there without packing!
The only good thing about the hotel was the food, it was good.

Room Tip: Don't stay there!!!!

The Hotel location is really good, you can reach the hotel from the airport using skytrain, reach the station near hotel and need to walk around 100m to the hotel. The hotel located in the middle of the shopping area, you can have good items in cheap prices, you can also have good foods also in cheap price. Many places can be reach from our hotel just by walking distance to the train station. We stayed there for 4 days 3 nights.

The lobby hotel was quite crowded and the serving time take a long time, around 30 minutes to get our room ready. The alley from elevator to our room was messy and dirty but when we enter the room, it's nice because it's clean and spacious. The air conditioner working good so that the room was cool in the middle of hot weather in Bangkok. The only thing that I don't like about the room is the bathroom because the water was leaking and making the floor wet all the time. And also lot of stain in the bathroom wall.

Room Tip: No need breakfast because you can have good foods and also cheap around the hotel

Its a hands down average hotel, rooms dont smell good, but they are ok, they tell u to deposit 100 USD for security when you check in, but they give it back to you, the location is really good, in the center of bangok, everything is not very far from you which is good thing, the breakfast however is great, lots of varieties to suit all nationalities, indian, thai, french & classic, the view too is good, overall its a cheap hotel that u wont love your stay in it but you wont hate it either

Right in the middle of the shopping complex, Baiyoke suite is a decent place to stay, if you manage to get a south wing corner room at above 35th floor, that gives you a panoramic view of the bangkok city.
The hotel suites have one leaving room with sofa, couch, table chair, center table, TV , ac, and bedroom with another TV, dressing table, shower robes and sandals, bedside tables, and another ac. Each room contains minibar, but the items inside are expensive, which will be deducted from your 2000 THB security deposit. So , if you wanna have something to eat and drink, plenty of options outside including 7-11, street foods, restaurants.
43rd floor has glass wall breakfast area that gives fascinating view to the city. Breakfast spread is okay, regular stuffs like toast omlettes pancakes noodles are there, along with bacon ham and sausage. Fruit juice, fruit salads and fresh fruit are there as well along with cereals.

The elevator goes from Ground floor to 43rd floor, 4 elevators are there, still you may have to wait to catch one. You need to scan your room key inside theelevator to activate it, which gives added security to the hotel guests. Anyone from the street cannot walkin and go to a certain floor.
All in all, good hotel, mainly due to loaction. Indra square, platinum plaza, computer city, all are in walkable distance.

Room Tip: Above 30th floor, south wing room. So that you get a panoramic view of the city.
