“Very nice hotel, a bit far from main attractions though.”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March with my partner, the hotel was so nice, very clean, tidy and couldn't fault the service of the reception staff and doormen at all! The breakfast was also really nice with a huge variety of food to choose from. However the hotel is quite far from the main attractions such as the grand palace, and the Chao Phraya River. We had to keep getting taxi's which took about 30/40 minutes to get to all of the main places, which cost quite a bit in taxi fare. Apart from this, it was a very nice and enjoyable stay.

Returned for my third stay at this wonderful business hotel just north of central Bangkok (my prior reviews were April 2010 and April 2012). The staff here so friendly and polite and some of the staff even remembered me from prior stays. I'm so glad that some of construction that I saw last time is now complete and the coffee-pastry shop is now complete! Rooms have also been updated. Security has also been increased in the hotel and I noticed that there are security staff at all hours in the lobby. This hotel has very good rates.

I've always loved the rooms because they are quite large, with flat screen TV, safe, large comfortable bed etc. and all of the usual extras of a great hotel....one of the things I love is that the bathrooms come with a tub and a separate large shower. Rooms are nice clean and quiet. I also liked the new system for requesting the room to be cleaned or do not disturb notice. One just needs to press a button instead placing the old card on the door. The pool is wonderful and there is poolside food-drink service at reasonable cost and great quality. I' was very impressed by the friendly staff at the coffee shop and I was always enticed for a cappuccino and pastry. Buffet breakfast as before is superb with a lot of variety. Another reason why I like this hotel is the location and the area. There a lot of restaurants and street foods available. Coming out of the hotel and turning left are 2 of my favorite massage parlors with very inexpensive prices. I went for a foot massage at the end of every night. Just a couple more doors down is a place you can get your laundry done and then a 7-11. Cross the bridge at 7-11 if you continue about another block you can make a right turn and you will encounter a number of excellent restaurants, a 7-11 and a Tesco Lotus Mini Mart.

Its also a short 10-15 minute walk to the BTS Skytrain Victory Station. Along the way there a 2 7-11's and a lot of street vendors. I was in Bangkok for the International Motorshow at the Impact Center so this was also a good location to get there which is about 40 north east of the city's outskirts.

I am planning to go back "home" to Bangkok again next year and will probably stay here again. I really recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Bangkok.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. It was my wifes birthday and the staff arrived at our room with cake and sang happy birthday. Room are well appointed and large. The location was ideal for us and the big shopping centres are not too far away. Highly recommend this place

My flight from Tokyo was delayed so I ended up at the Hotel at about 2:30 am, I was checked in and greeted warmly and escorted to my room. While unpacking I realized that more stuff needed to go into the safe, anyway trying to get back into the safe set off an alarm. Shamefaced I called reception, they came within an half an hour fully dressed in suits to fix it ,and apologized for the wait!!

This hotel could teach many others what hospitality is all about!!

My room was amazing with views of a lovely temple, and a bathroom with everything!!

Great stay!!

We had a great time staying here, our room was very comfortable, and was always cleaned to a high standard. I agree with all the other people who say the breakfast is fantastic, and sitting round the lovely pool area was the perfect end to a busy day sightseeing.

Check-in: perfect! Best English spoken reception in all of our 3 weeks in Thailand.
Rooms: large, clean, quiet, clean bathroom, drinking water refreshed every day.

Breakfast: all you can ask for, freshly cooked and prepared.

Pool area: plenty of space, good for relaxing, not for real swimming.

As written in other reviews: hotel lounge and bar are not often used by guests because of the very high prices for Thailand. A young couple asked for a cocktail at the pool and the pool boy did not really know what to do... probably not used to people asking for a drink?

Location: if you want to be in the tourist area, this is not your place. If you don't mind taking a 10 minutes walk to the skytrain ( exit right and then to the left ) or a 10 minutes walk to the metro ( exit left ): this is your hotel.

Going to the metro station Rathaprarop you will pass a range of restaurants where you can have lunch / dinner, massage parlours, bars, seven eleven, ... Anything you need is there.
