We´ve stayed 2 nights in CPH, and i must admit i was a bit worried about the riots and the efects that would had made to the area nearby.
Actually in front of the Hotel was what i guess a post office, that was destroyed and the building on the rigt side was also destroyed. Aldo the hotel was in perfect conditions and no one would say that the riots had occured only less then 2 months ago.
About the location, you have a Sky train about 10 minutes walk, and its not only safe to get there at any hour, but also very easy, as it is well signed.
We stayed in room 1631, on the 16th floor, wich had a great view to the city. The room was clean, as it was the bathroom.
The breakfeast was good with several fruits, juices, cereals and different kinds of bread.
The pool is a must, very relaxing, but we´ve only tryed it around 6PM, so im not sure if the construction on the building that stands on the left side does disturbes the quitness of the local.
On the reception, you have a huge lobby and a internet center.
There is also a gym, wich we havent tryed, but it looked well equiped.
The bar was good too, and the cocktails were not expensive, around 4€ each, with several LCD´s and a pool table.
We also tryed the Scirocco Restaurant, at the Lebua Tower, wich is amazing, and you really shouldnt miss it.. It´s not cheap, but it shure worths it!
If you take a cab, it will cost you 100baht, wich is less then 3€, so very cheap.
Would love to come back!

This is the second time we stayed at CPH. Had not appreciated how close the riots were until we saw burnt out building next door and another across the road. The door staff were very good and very proficient. We were on the 18th floor in a junior suite and the views to the north across the city were great. Our exit was marred by poor attitude of reception staff and in fact the only words exchanged were "very cheap" when she saw our mini bar account was only 400baht. Can of coke was 100baht compared to 14baht at the 7/11. Breakfast buffet was ordinary but again, staff were attentive. Unfortunately our trip was wrecked by the fatal "gem scam". Before you go anywhere near Bangkok, read up on how the scam works. Just google "bangkok gem scam".
If we decide to return we will look at something around Siam Sq. New skytrain from airport stops at Phaya Thai so save yourself money in limo's and taxis.

I was reluctant to stay in this hotel as it was one that was in the heart of the red shirt camp, but on arrival, apart from the burnt down building next door, you would have never known that there had been any problems.
The rooms were very nice and there is a 7/11 just a few yards away where we ctocked up our fridge with drinks and snacks. There is building work going on next door, but this did not affect us.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is good- it's about 20 minutes away by taxi to the night markets and the taxis are cheap (65 baht)- that's less than £2!
There wasn't much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but in Bangkok, you are never far away from anything.
The restaurant food was very good and ok-priced. There is a swimming pool which was lovely to jump into after a hot day in the city, but it was overlooked by the builders on the worklsite next door- although they didn't seem to be lecherous!
If you want, you can feed the buddhist monks on their daily rounds by asking the hotel to arrange a food basket for them, then you sit outside in the early hours of the morning, waiting for the monks, and you give them the offering of food.
It is a nice hotel and I would stay there again, I was happy with the standard that this hotel has to offer.

When I talked through the lobby of the hotel I was greeted by some lovely Thai ladies in their native dresses who also offerred me a glass of tropical juice; so it was a good first impression. The hotel lobby was spacious and nice. The rooms were sort of odd looking and outdated, but clean and fine. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed the plentiful array of fresh tropical fruit. I did get a good night's sleep at the hotel. The pool was OK (nothing too great). There was a little bakery/cafe in the lobby and it was quite good, and reasonably priced (as far as hotels go). It was a good hotel, not super or over the top, but good and a good value at that.

we stayed for four nights from April 13th and found the Century Park to be extremely comfortable with very good, clean and quiet rooms. Rooms have excellent spacious bathrooms with a walk in shower and all the facilities you would expect from this type of hotel.
The reception is in a huge area and on arrival were extremely efficient, courteous and friendly. There is a well equipped gym and a good roof top pool to enjoy the sun and the heat.
We were on the 11th floor and like the previous reviewer had a fantastic view of the city. The location is very good for the airport and also easy to get into the centre of Bangkok by Skytrain.
The breakfast had a wide buffet choice and was very good. The only criticism is the evening meal was a little bland and a bit pricey compared to local restaurants , but that is usual if you want to eat in a hotel.
We hope to go back to bangkok as soon as possible and would thoroughly recommend The Century Park.
