“Funny hotel and it's not very safe.”
Reviewed 21 June 2013

When i say funny and unsafe, I really mean it. Now the scenarios, they do not provide in room safe and yes that's our fault we left some money and some mobile phone and we lost some of them. They offer safe locker at the reception where no one would keep a big money would you! They must provide safe as many of their customers are their to do some shopping. It's funny sometimes how they behave, some of the bell attendants behave like kids and leaning, sitting scratching their head etc. The staff lacks of some basic humor and respect. Some of them are helpful some are not. Other difficulty is they don't quite speak in English.
Breakfast is quite same everyday. Wifi is just a name. Please don't go there becos they provide it. Don't be surprised to see their breakfast too. Staff at the breakfast laugh with each other make fun of guest and so on. Over all this hotel is ok but be careful of your belongings. I am not going there any more. Good luck and I hope they will improve.

Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff,Cheap Rates! Should You Ask For More??
Alas, There's Just One BIG thing, When We Stayed In This Hotel My Sister's
Necklaces,Bracelets, etc. Were Stolen By Some Of The Hotel Staff, A.K.A The "Bell Boy" And Believe Me Those Were Not Cheap Ones.
So I Advise You To Securely Locked Your Luggage, If Ever You're Gonna Leave It At The Hotel.

Hotel was simple, just to my liking. 2nd time staying here. A little cosy but just nice for couple. Bell boy was wonderful but receptionist on the cashier was quite rude. Though the cashier sign was displayed, but human tend to be meticulous at times and missed it. So i missed it. And the cashier simply said " another side" with an ugly face. Apart from that, the rest of the services were great enough. Probably need some kettle for hot water? Unable to fulfill my request of pink room on both stays.

First house hotel has 2 block. Gotten a deluxe room at 2nd block - 7 floor. You can identify with 27xx from the first number. You need to take the lift to 3rd or 5th floor which can link over to 2nd block.

Room is big. You can choose a queen size bed or 2 single. A bean bag chair, a plastic chair and a 27 or 32" TV mounted on wall. Room is clean too.

It has a big shower head, good water pressure with hot and cold tap. You can adjust your water by tuning less or more from both.

Suitable for those whom always go to Platinum Mall to buy clothes. Just a 5min walk, and you will reach it after crossing the bridge.

Cab with meter running only require 8-10min drive to MBK or Chinatown. Price to MBK will be much cheaper for 3-4 pax instead of taking a mrt. (you calculate yourself. INSIST ON METER in CAB)

A slightly drawback or advise is avoid take a cab below the hotel. It is a hassle for taxi to go in or out from the small lane. As a driver myself, I feel stress for the driver to get out from there when we going to airport with our luggage.

Room Tip: Ask for higher room or else you have to wake up early from the street noise. There's a 'tr...

I stayed at this hotel with a group of friend (10 of us). 4 days 3 nights. I received quite good service from reception counter and even the bell boy. We booked 2 triple room and 2 deluxe room. the rooms are clean, big space, and I got home feeling staying in their rooms. They provide comfortable chair in the room too. Every room got their own color. i stayed with another 2 girls friend in triple room and I got pink room, so sweet.everything was fine in the room except the water heater, the water not strong enough. location very strategic for shopping, pratunam market just beside the hotel. there are many food stall, convenient stall, and fast food(MCD) around. Ask for higher floor as it will be quite noisy in the morning. BTS station(Ratchadewi) about 10 min walk. Overall First House Hotel is good. May consider to stay in same hotel during my next trip to BKK.

The three person room is much more spacious than the two person room.
Directions to hotel : Option No. 1 - via metered taxi and Option No. 2 - take bus No. A1 from Don Muang Airport. The bus will lead you to Mo Chit BTS. The hotel is in between Phaya Thai and Siam station.
Breakfast is so so and the there are no night life around the hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise

We stayed there for 3 nights and extend our stay for another 2 nights, the room is quite refurbish as we used to stay here before, clean but some details need to take care off like some mildew on the grouting and the tap is loose, The main concern I made this comment is that the receptionist is way to rude knowing that any kind of querry needs to attend with, felt like she dont want us to stay. Facial gesture was way unaccpetable. Need to get rid of her as she is not a asset of the hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid the skinny Thai lady who will check you in as you will ruine your holiday if she is the one wh...
