“Great location for shopping”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

Me and my wife stayed here after being recommended by friends due to its central location to the shopping district. The hotel was clean and we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was inside the room considering the location and outside being so noisy. For the price we paid for a double room we expected something shabby, however the room was modern, clean and spacious. The hotel offers wifi and the code needs to be got from reception, but they will also give a code via the phone. We only ate breakfast once out of the 2 days but the meal was acceptable and kept us going until lunch time. The staff are well presented and \offered advice on attractions to visit in the area. well worth it purely for the location

Stayed here for 3 nights in September last year. It was extremely affordable and only costed 50 dollars a night for a twin room including breakfast. The breakfast spread was not great but sufficient. There was free wifi but you must get the password from the counter staff when you check in. One problem about the room was that there was only one power outlet which can be inconvenient for 2 person.

We took the Airport Rail Link from Suvarnabhumi airport to Ratchaprarop Station and walk to the hotel in about 15 to 20 minutes with luggage. It was not too easy to find but luckily we have a map on hand. It is located within Pratunam market and is a 5-minute walk to Platinum mall which makes it extremely convenient for shoppers.

Recommended for budget travellers who spend the whole day out shopping and just need a place to crash for the night.

Stayed there for 2 night and when we got there the first impression of the hotel was abit daze since all the staffs gave u a weird look and not very helpful. Everybody was rude and pure crappy attitude but the room was clean but abit expensive and the breakfast is crap too. We decided to moved to A2 house hotel in front of it. It was smaller but the room were cheaper and allowed up to 4 person to stay in 1 room and the staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Will never go back to the crappy first house hotel to see all those crappy staffs faces! Make me sick!

For past few years, my wife and I regularly visit Bangkok on business. We always stay at First House Hotel- mainly its handy to the business area where we go to. Since it was renovated, the rates have gone up. Breakfast menu remains the same, how boring.

We also regularly travel to Jakarta, Cebu, Manila, HCMC and Chiangmai.on business. The hotels there have free wifi access especially around the reception, lounge, cafe and restaurant areas. Access in your room costs around NZ$2.50 - NZ$3.00 a hour.

There is no free wifi access at First House Hotel. Only wifi access is in your room at a crazy price, costing an arm and a leg, about NZ$5.00 an hour. Other hotels in Bangkok have free wifi access in public areas for guests.

Intending guests planning to stay at First House, please take note. There is" NO FREE WIFI" access at First House Hotel. Dont be misled by its advertisement. There is a difference between "access to wifi is available" at a price and "FREE access to wifi" For those using smartphones and want to access internet, I suggest look around other hotels closeby to First House.

This is not a typical hotel you will be expecting consider the price you pay and the quality of the room you get. The room is not fanciful, very simple furnishing and a old toilet. I stayed with my mate and we had problem hanging our clothes because there is no cupboard. The only thing good is this hotel is near to many amenities such as 7-11, food and shopping. Its near to the nite market, if you know how to walk via short cut, and the famous Platinum Mall, City Complex to buy cheap fashion at wholesale prices, and Pantip for IT stuff. Near to the hotel is a eatery that sell excellent pork knuckle rice and wanton noodles. Service is fine by the staff. The only criticism is the hotel only provides 1 key per room, and I had to wait for my mate at the lobby when he was out with the key. This causes quite a fair bit of inconvenience.

Accessible and Room rate is affordable too.I stayed here I guess three years back and the hotel was kinda old but now they have made some renovations, newly painted rooms new bathroom fixtures and the dining area has undergone renovations. It is more fresh looking with the brightly colored walls. The beds are quite alright but necessarily the coziest but you can sleep well on it.
What's good about this hotel is the vicinity. I wii not be ashamed to recommend this hotel to my friends.Once you step out of the hotel you will be greeted by a lot of vendors from food to textile. I also bump with a lot of Filipinos either doing business there, buying stuff for personal use or for business. I feel at home when I'm in Bangkok. I love the fruits and the numerous spicy dishes not to mention shopping!

We stayed here twice on our short vacation trip to Bangkok(One of the GREAT CITY in Asia),it is very efficient for a traveler who's for shopping, very near to Platinum Mall,Panthip plaza,Central World and most especially when you step out on the main door of this hotel, there is a great bargain and very affordable goods to buy,the breakfast they serve is a treat, very tasty!,no worries for money exchange because it is just several steps from this hotel, there is a souvenir shop just in front of this hotel, the owner is very nice they gave us a good price, over all, I would surely recommend this hotel..

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floor is much appreciated..
