Reviewed 30 January 2014

Stayed here for three nights from New Year, 2014. Hotel was booked as part of a package with Trailfinders and described as a superior room. I know that at times in Asia standards can be less than western, though this was grim. Very old style hotel, no bar, little in the way of reception area and the outside stank.

We booked a taxi from from the international airport directly with the hotel, though they just didn't bother turning up!!

Shower was poor, just no pressure. Whilst the room was clean on arrival, it was poorly lit and had a tired feeling. There was a pair of flip flops just abandoned in the bathroom... Air conditioning did work, though spilled over the floor.

Positives
On a positive note there was a room safe.
If you stay here, check out the Taxi stand, bottom of the hotel and turn left. We got exceptional value by booking the driver for all day, 100THB. Great for a taxi to the airport also.
Also good location for Khao San Road...

Breakfast wasn't great and very strict on closing times.

Staff had poor English and didn't seem that fussed on engaging with us.

A definite no, no. Expected a lot more from the hotel description if honest. Though didn't stop us having fun after all - it was Bangkok!

Room Tip: Luck. I am sure they are all the same, we had two and they were equal..

Stayed one nite at this hotel in January 2014. The hotel room was filthy looking with dirty hand prints on the walls, especially behind the bed, and stains on the bed sheets. The shower would only get luke warm water if it was turned to a drizzle... Anything more and it was ice cold. Very little english by the front desk staff. We had stayed in a similarily priced hotel the previous nite on sukhumvit road which was exponentially nicer. The location of the hotel is good, but this is not a 3 star hotel and much better hotels can be obtained for the price.

Um, it looks nothing like the photos. The bathroom was tiny and looked like it belonged in a jail. There was not even a shower curtain, just open air! False advertising.. it did not have a pool or rooftop garden - this is the sister hotel that is attached to it, which faces the main street. We did not even have hot running water, and the AC kept on dripping. Which is not only annoying but downright dangerous. There was a cockroach in our room when we walked in. Oh, and there seems to be a putrid smell surrounding the outside of the hotel in some parts - could be the sewerage? the only good part of it is that it's walking distance to the hustle and bustle of khao san road. give this place a miss.

This place is an absolute dump. There is no excuse for filth. They have cleaners but they are clearly incompetent or don't even clean. The doors in the room were rotten, lights hardly worked, room smelt. I wouldn't put my dog in there to be honest. Please go elsewhere!

Fairly average stay near Khao San Road. Property is not as advertised, as most of its key benefits (swimming pool, roof top garden) is part of its more expensive sister hotel, which you then need to pay 300baht to access. Is a Muslim hotel which means no alcohol served, although they did not mind you going to the 7/11 next door to buy and drink in your room. Clean enough room, although very loud air con which leaked onto the balcony. Cold shower. Very basic and I am sure there is better hotels at a lower price available near Khao San Road. Khao San Road is just a 5 minute walk away. If I was going to Khao San Road again, I would certainly look elsewhere

We paid around 40 aud a night for one of the superior rooms and were quite unimpressed with the quality. The air con worked well enough but the water was tepid at best. Our views were of the neighbouring hotel wall instead of the canal. Breakfast was included, quite a nice buffet, but we could have found much better value for money in a hostel on Khao Sanh road with rooms just as nice and bought ourselves breakfast each morning cheaper.
