“Good location, owfull kitchen”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

Hotel is located over the shopping center (worth to visit) very close to "klong"- best solution for quick travelling in Bangkok. The room need a refreshment, but spacious- suit consist in small kichenette , bedroom and livingroom ( good solution for family). But remumber :Never eat in hotel restaurant- it is empty place with owfull meat, with pricelist from Mars.

Hotel was in a packadge and was oke, they try to help you where they can.
Rooms need some renovation but they are clean and big enough, nice pool on 11 e floor.
Water taxi nearby to go to center, not much to do in neighberhood , only market.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. location is okay, but would still need to catch a Tuk Tuk or Taxi to places. There is the Golden Mount and Wat Saket nearby waling distance though. Anywhere else is just too hot to walk to! The hotel is nice, rooms are big and clean, bathrooms okay but a bit dated. The pool area looks nice but didnt use it. Breakfast spread is good, the only downside is no free WiFi - an esseintial in this day and age! Apart from that no major faults.

The best thing about this place would be the tacky golden interior, with the grand stair cases and impressive-ish pool as well as the staffers on every door to army solute you as your walk through… if you are impressed by that sort of thing. I stayed in a room that had 5 beds meeting my family in between backpacking Asia and backpacking Europe. My room smelt mouldy, the air conditioner was pretty dirty, the toilet had a yellow stain around the bowels edge, the shower was old but did the trick, the tap only had cold water which was fine but kinda annoying for shaving. The staff on the whole were very unhelpful and struggled with English. Some of them are more inclined to help you but its the minority. The WiFi is available only in the lobby and is very unreliable. When I complained to the the lobby staffer that the WiFi wasn't working properly, the best case scenario was they would reluctantly fix it - the more common outcome was them just shaking their head in what can only be either intentional or legitimate confusion of a simple request. The breakfast was ordinary, not bad but nothing special - theres a weird thing with the bacon that it comes out at 9am and is only replaced once. The location is okay in that it is in between the city and Khoa San, although if i were to come back… id chose one or the other. Another weird thing, none of the taxi/tuk tuk/motorbike drivers know where it is. Iv stayed in hostel and boutique guest houses that were much much cheaper and were better, id strongly recommend giving PP a miss.

Room Tip: Always carry a map pointing out where PP is (available at the front desk) to show taxi drivers.

A very big hotel with reception on the 11th floor. Friendly staff and large clean rooms.
The location is vey convenient to the airport and central districts. The only negative is that they still charge for wifi and it is expensive.

For the last 9 years I stayed every year in this hotel. Good location close to the river, easy connection by boat to Khao San Rd or the City centre, good breakfast and service is ok.
However ...I was there again last May but dirty carpets and wallpaper, unsafe powerpoints (hanging out of the wall), bathroom crane makes lots of noise, sliding-door from cupboard for clothes could only be opened by lots of violence, leaking cranes, etc.
A pity as the hotel is still my favourite, but the rooms really need to be renovated!
