“There can only be one place like this”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

It is a bit surreal, and colors, statues, glitter and the number of people attack your senses the moment you walk through the gate. Go early in the morning. We made the mistake of getting there mid-morning at which time the complex is overrun with people and does not really give you a chance to appreciate what you are looking at.

“Amazing history and incredible beauty”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

At times can get a little crowded, but it is possible to find some places and be relatively unbothered. Very beautiful history on display and one of those places that is a must see!

“BEAUTIFUL”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

The interior is stunning! As well as being impressed by the Emerald Buddha I was entranced by the beautiful interior decoration of the room. It was very busy but thats understandable, I would recommend this to anyone on a trip to Bangkok.

“Amazing structure”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

It is located in the Grand Palace, so, you have to pay for Grand Palace entrance fee (500 Baht for foreigner and free for Thai resident) in order to visit. The temple which housed the Emerald Buddha has a great traditional type of architectural structure. It is a religious place, so, you have to remove your shoes to enter and strictly no photograph inside.

Sometimes, this temple can be closed for certain ceremonies, so, it is recommended to make an inquiry at the information counter prior to visit. It was very crowded during my visit.
