“Beautiful, but the Buddha a little underwhelming...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2014

Really lovely and obviously a very holy place for Buddhists, but after all the hype, I don't know why but I was expecting the Buddha to be bigger (MUCH smaller than expected)...worth a trip, just don't spend ages here....

“A little Overrated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2014

I guess it's partially my fault because I didn't do enough research but I was expecting a GRAND Buddha, since the Emerald Buddha is in the Grand Palace. It is beautiful, but very very small. And it's on top of a 60+ foot shrine, so it's very hard to see.

“Beautiful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

This temple is right next to the Grand Palace. I wasn't able to take photographs inside of the Emerald Buddha, which is actually made out of jade. The intricacy of the temple is first class. This is another must see when in Bangkok.
