A nice temple with a statue of Buddha made of gold. The looks of the temple is a typical example of age-pld thai architecture.

after a few temple visits, got over my fascination of temples...so it wasn't a special visit for me.

Nothing wrong with it really but it is not as good as Grand Palace or Wat Pho. I think you are staying in Bangkok for long time and really into temples you should go, otherwise this is one you can miss out. It is ok but not great.

A reasonable pretty building but nothing particularly stands out compared to all the other temples in Thailand. Also, it feels over commercialised / over-touristy, not just because of the presence of tourists but more because it seems to be set up for the tourists, not the worshippers.

It's a nice-enough temple, with an impressive Buddha, but the mini museum & exhibition will fill you in on the historical significance of the statue.
Also, it's interesting to learn how these types of statues were made in previous eras.
Also a great place to start your exploration of Chinatown, but get there early to avoid the crowds.
