“Unusual take on patesseries”

I am not a great fan of macaroons but the ones here are amazing. Different flavours and range than you see elsewhere.
And the chocolate cakes!!!!

“Divine Japanese Tiramisu”
Reviewed 24 June 2012

This small patisserie is run by Thai connoisseur of Japanese desserts. The pastry shop is located on the third floor of a small community mall “The Portico Langsuan”. Just take the elevator to the third floor and soon you will find yourself in a minimalistic black and white bakery shop. The array of cute Japanese lucky cats greats every visitor with raised paws. The shop sells a wide range of French classical desserts translated with the utmost care and precision to fit the Japanese taste. I enjoyed a lot savouring the classical Mont Blanc coming with different purees such as red bean, green tea and pumpkin. The mix nuts tart was a piece of art, it tastes delightfully. My elder son’s absolute favourite is original brownie. I must say that we have tasted a lot of replicas of this American dessert in Bangkok, but Masatomi produces the most outstanding, chocolate rich flavour.

They also sell the Japanese mocha cakes, two versions of tiramisu and presently fashionable macaroni. My number one is a Greentea Tiramisu, which has the most delicate taste and the texture. The light palette of the green tea married with the softness of the sponge is a mouth-watering experience. They serve coffee and tea at the site.

I was a little bit disappointed with the trendy macaroni. To my taste, the fancy names of fillings and appetising colours tasted all the same. What I like a lot is that the owner tries to add few Japanese touches to customer experience. The presentation of the dessert is impeccable. The perfection in handling the packaging is admiring. My takeaway desserts always look as good as in the bakery. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishments and hopefully there will be more flavoursome puddings to come.
