“Well maintained & beautiful”

If this is your first time to Bangkok, then this is a must. Do take the main boat and pay on the boat, Baht15 per trip. If you pay at the counter its Baht40. Entrance Fee: Baht500. + some vouches for other places of visits.

Please dress appropriately. Lots of pictures to take outside the temple. Do bring a shawl if you are wearing sleeveless blouses.

Though it is expensive, it is worth it to see once. Its very well maintained & simply beautiful.

“Beautiful palace”

Stunning place but very very crowded so a little difficult to enjoy especially given how hot and humid the weather was.

“Beautiful Temple Complex and Palace”
Reviewed 6 June 2013

My group went late morning on a hot day in May. We should have tried to get there earlier because of the crowds and temperature. A major religious holiday was to occur the very next day, and much of the complex was in preparation, so we missed seeing the emerald buddha, for example. But, there were many, many other interesting and beautiful works of art and devotion there. I particularly enjoyed the museum of the Queen's fine gowns and dresses that included video tape of royal and state visits through the years with various internationally renown people. And, the palace weapon collections were great for short tours with fascinating pieces going back a few hundred years. By far the most moving thing is to see so much evidence of how people are trying to seek truth. Buddhism is an important part of the culture of Thailand, and this tour was helpful for me to appreciate that.

“All that glitters”

Wow, to any foreigner this place is awesome. Historical, well managed and maintained by the Thai Government and a credit to the King. Keep respect in mind as always in venerated places and you are guaranteed to have a delightful experience. A very short walk from the Chao Praya River boat stop Maharaj pier. Cool.
