.. meaning it was right at the heart of the city centre. That's where this 201-room hotel was. conveniently accessible by both the sky train and by car (well, only if the traffic allows)
MODE was 7-8 months old only. Pretty new, but experienced service.
Actually at the first glance the exterior looked a bit weird having bright purple paint everywhere. But we were told that purple and also pink reflect their "lady" hotel concept. Mmm ... interesting.
We had our late lunch at their Rice & Chilli, Thai dining outlet on the 5th Floor. Quite unexpected!
Most of the times, what turned out from the so-called "contemporary" or "fusion" was more of "con"fusion or a bit disappointing. But all the dishes we ordered were not only nicely decorated but delicious, said by a Thai, though. Farang or foreigners might find it a bit spicy, but worth trying to burn their tongues for. ^_^
Good thing doesn't come cheap. But a few hundreds baht per dish weren't that bad, considering quality. Every dish was surely reflecting great effort of the chef.
All tables were by the window facing good view of Sathorn road and the skytrain.
It's opened til late too, maybe around 11pm.. Perfect for all workaholics (like us) who always left the office no earlier than 8pm..
