Oddly enough, I had one of my favorite Bangkok experience in this somewhat western style Vegan restaurant. It's a small, homey, place with various knick-knacks and nice antique wooden furniture and tables. They serve breakfast all day (pancakes, English breakfast, etc.) plus vegan club sandwiches and vegan curry (what I had and recommend), plus more. After eating so much greasy food, it was great to have something healthy and good.
I ate there late-ish on a Sunday and the other two tables had two other Thai families eating there; one family happened to provide the organic produce, the other the baked goods. And they were all very friendly to me. The owner Neung told me the story of the restaurant and how her husband is an avid runner and may run across the U.S. (Good for him, bad for us because they'll have to close the restaurant for a couple of months). Another person told me about the vegetarian community and other places to eat vegetarian Thai food. It was truly great. Highly recommended.
