Owner description: This is the place where a long yet interesting history of Thai art is recorded and a perfect combination between the extraordinary traditional Thai art and the academic art known internationally is demonstrated. Recently spent a few hours at this interesting museum. We decided to take a taxi as its in an odd spot half way to the airport. the taxi from the city cost 200 baht with entrance fee around the same price but well worth the money. An impressive huge white building seems odd in the location but upon entering you are pointed around the building by guides so u dont miss anything. We were there with some monks who we spoke to , one being also an artist as i am, a colorblind artist wearing my colorblind glasses made for an exciting few hours being allowed to share an UNIQUE thai and South east Asian view of their world. i particularly liked the photo attached called Bangkok at Night, showing the vibrancy and movement this wonderful 24/7 city. Well worth the trip and insight into the Thai creative community. very quiet also as i dont think many people know about it and its so far from any other tourist places.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in this city was opened last year and is one of the most beautiful museums of it's kind. It was built with the finest of materials, marble, stainless steel, imported woods, glass and has very large white spaces throughout.
There are six floors all served by Japanese built escalators and elevators. There are small arrows at the entrace of each gallery that provide direction taking the visitor from one collection to the next.
If you enjoy contemporary art, most of the works from Thai artists, then don't miss this opportunity the next time you are in Bangkok.

It's a huge complex filled with artworks by Thailand National Artists of the modern era. It's a good historical art experience and best viewed after you've gone to the BACC to compare their "fine" national artists and the contemporary artists.

Got lost and paid almost 200b for a cab ride to this place. Don't trust the address in google as it is in a different area of Jatujak district.

The right road is Kamphaeng Phet Rd 6 (ถนน กำแพงเพชร 6) beside Bencha Jinda Building.

Sick of shopping? Go here.
Very cool and very uncrowded. Most of the time we were the only people in the room.

Tickets were 180 baht per person..... About six dollars each. Good coffee at the shop and the store sells cheap memorabilia coffee mugs.

Very cool experience and very talented artists.
