“I'll always stay here when in Bangkok”
Reviewed 14 July 2013

I am only giving this a 4-star review as I don't want people to over-estimate the level of luxury when booking the hotel. It was VERY clean and quiet. Know that this hotel is priced a-la-carte (everything is extra like towels, TV, wifi, etc). Our room was small but acceptable. The shower was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. The location was superb. The staff were busy but nice. It's only about a 2 minute walk to the Asok/Asoke BTS station and about a 4 minute walk to the fantastic Terminal 21 mall/food-court. I almost hate to boast so highly about this hotel as it will make it more difficult to get a reservation next time we stay there, but it really is perfect for the flash-packer/mid-budget traveler.

Stayed 2 nights before Phuket and 3 nights after.
I must say this hotel is very impressive. However you gotta book real early to get a decent rate.
I booked last year for only 399THB/N and with add on its still <800/THB.

Pros:
1. VERY decent location. Right on Sukhumvit road. BTS and MRT station both within 5 mins walk.
Terminal 21 is literally right in front of Soi 14 and there are many nice restaurant inside.
(Although the hotel is inside Soi 14 for like 100M distance but I am fine by that)
2. Comfy bed, strong shower, modernly designed and nice A/C.
3. Helpful staff. (I gotta say the staff can arrange taxi for you to airport is real good)
4. Good security. Elevator can only be access by key card.
5. VERY CHEAP.

Cons:
1. Room is pretty small. (Remember to read my tip for this part!)
2. Convenient store is kinda far, like 10 mins away.

IMO, I will definitely recommending this hotel to anyone.
I know there are many people complaining this hotel charges on everything.
They are just too dumb to understand the concept of Tune hotels,
If you expect everything included, stay elsewhere.
But if you understand the concept, and book in advance, you will definitely love this hotel like me.

Room Tip: I stayed in room #302 and #321. Both of them are right next to elevator. #302 is kinda standard bu...

I had a good package from Agoda. Hotel cost about 1200 baht. With the promotion, the price included free Internet, Tv and aircon. This was a 50% off from the normal price. Had the hotel cost 2400 baht, I would have stayed else where.

The location was somewhat convenient. It was near BTS and MRT as well as Terminal 21.
However, there is a need to note that the hotel is about 100m walk into soi 14. While 100m is not really far, you could still feel the distance after a tiring shopping trip.

And if you are arriving or leaving by train, the train station exit to soi 14 has no elevator. This actually means that you would have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. This is not an easy feat if your luggage was already loaded with souvenirs at the end of the trip.

The hotel had a strict 2pm check in. Even if you arrived 10 mins earlier, they would expect you to wait. This could be very silly, especially when there were rooms available and the counter staff was free. Basically, you and the staff would be staring at each other while you wait by the sofa facing the counter.

When checking in, you would be given a red bag which contain the towel, remote and shampoo. You would be expected to return the red bag and towel when checking out, which made you felt like you were staying in a hostel. Actually the corridor to the room did add on to the feel.

Everywhere in the hotel was shouting for you to spend. There were advertisements from domino and CBTL, even in your room. Amenities and hotel souvenirs were also available for sale.

The room was basic with no frill. No telephone or hot water maker machine was available.
There was no remote for aircon and I had difficult trying to adjust the temperature for the room.
There were also funny unidentified sound coming from the room. The pipe? above the bath room went bong bong bong. And also strange sound from the TV. I stayed on the second floor and could hear people talking from downstairs as well as motor bike sounds. There was no door to the shower room, so water was splashing out and wetting the floor when you were showering. Well, at least one thing positive was that the bed was comfortable.

A nice and clean hotel on a prime area in this vibrant city. Just a 5 minutes walk to bts asoke. Friendly staff and very quiet room. Super comfy bed. They provide all the standard facilities in the room that u may need in a reasonable price. Terminal 21 is next to the bts station, you can find everything there. Great hotel to spend the night in Bangkok!

Tune Hotel Asoke, Bangkok is a great hotel to stay in Bangkok. Located at Sukhumvit road, across Terminal 21 shopping center, a 3 minutes walk to Asoke BTS, and many other public transportation available such as taxi, bus, tuk tuk...

The hotel room size was just fine for both of us. We have 1 medium size bag, and 2 cabin size bags. Yes it was tight, but it is still ok for us...

The room was clean, comfortable, and cool... except that the position of the AC is just not to our standard - the wind blows over us....

The bathroom was clean, hot water was perfect and it was spacious

The housekeepers did a good job cleaning the room, however, we did not get new towels, even tough we paid for a daily change.. we have to get it from the front desk...

We left the hotel early at 04:30 am and the hotel assist us by providing a great taxi with meters..

Above all, the hotel was a great place for us to stay.. we can spend the extra money from saving the room cost for buying other things.... and yet we have a good, comfortable, and secure rest.....

Thank you Tune Hotel....

Room Tip: all rooms are great, but having a room rather far from the lift will be better.. so that we have mor...

Well located near the Asok BTS & a Terminal 21 mall this hotel offers very clean & affordable rooms (though bare minimum in size) with an equally clean & modern bathroom. The hotel does not have its' own restaurant & whatever arrangements are available for food are expensive; not in tune with the tight budget experience. Terminal 21 makes-up for food requirements especially if you enjoy the local variety & down the main road you can find break-fast places of all sorts.

Hello dear guest!

Clean and central. That's our pride.

Nearby each hotel, you’ll find established convenience store operators, food & beverage outlets to give you reliable facilities within easy reach.

Our rooms are clean and comfortable. Our rates come as a bargain for many, especially for the ones that book way ahead. We are always centrally located for ease of travel and this is big plus for many as well.

Thank you for tuning in and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future

Warm Regards,

This was my 3rd stay @ Tune Hotels;having previously stayed @ the Manila +Angeles City Tune Hotels, 9 months earlier!.There was even a good view looking outside my window@ this Hotel.Being the beginning of the wet season; the weather wasn't too hot; so I opted for a non air conditioned room. The 3 speed fan in my room cooled the room sufficiently enough. I usually like to start a seasia holiday; staying the first couple of nights @ a very good 4 star hotel; then afterwards I'm happy to stay @ Tune Hotels or other higher ranked Trip Advisor budget hotels. The location of this Hotel was excellent;close to the Sky train.
