In my eyes this hotel cannot be faulted. The owner who was originally from Belgium was more than helpful with worthwhile tips. The room was clean, the mattress was excellent and towels were changed every day. There was a choice of three menus for breakfast and although a bit strange for Europeans was good and adequate. TV had all the usual channels. Will recommend to all my friends.

Stayed 4 nights at the Nook. About 10 mins walk from Ratchathewi BTS. The bed was really comfortable! The room is spacious and clean. Friendly and helpful staff by the name of "Bird".

Breakfast was okay. Not much choice just fried rice, fried noodle, and toast with jam.

Book a taxi to dreamworld (theme park) through hotel, purchase ticket from the hotel for 800 Baht per person excluding go-cart rides.

The hotel is about 10 mins walk to Siam paragon. shortcut: just cross over the traffic and walk straight ahead along the same soi. About 5 mins to Platinum mall etc. Great location for shoppers!

Cons:
- stench coming from the toilet, probably due to the poor drainage. Hope the hotel could do something about it?
- No cable channel. :(

Overall, enjoyed my stay at the Nook, great location, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

We chose the Nook Pratunam due to its central location in Bangkok.

While the room was clean, it constantly smelled faintly of sewage as the toilet seemed a little clogged (despite asking housekeeping & maintenance to take a look at it a couple of times.)

The staff, while friendly, also weren't best equipped to advise us on the best things to see in the area or how to get from anywhere interesting from the hotel.

Not great value for what was paid, but the central location was pretty sweet.

Do not expect overly plushy or 'well appointed' rooms. Frankly, the naked floor gives the very spacious room a bit of a hospital atmosphere. But everything is clean, the bathroom appears to be very new and is very functional (though bathroom air hardly gets out, even with the exhaust on). The space is just great to sort all your shopping, the AC is working fine, the fridge useful and the 15BHT sodas are only 1BHT more than at the close by 7eleven. Yes, the TV has close to no English stations, but hey, you are not here to watch TV. The internet was always working, the speed, well, maybe I expected more from Bangkok.

The breakfast is nothing special, but also not skimpy and filling. The location is great for shoppers! Pantip Plaza, Paragon, Platinum, Pratunam market ... everything is close by, I did not take a tuktuk once ...

I would surely return when I stay in Bangkok mainly for shopping purposes.

Be aware that the hotel is not very well known to taxi drivers and the info-map on tripadvisor (bit off) AND googlemaps (totally off) are wrong. Make sure to be on Petchburi and then it is the side road with the #13. Coming from Petchburi this is a one way street, you can exit taxi there and walk 50m.

If you want to be in Pratunam rather than Sukhumvit, this is a good place to stay. The triple had lots of room and our daughter was thrilled that her bed was in a separate room, the only time in Thailand we had a triple that wasn't just a small bed next to a larger one. There is plenty of storage in the room and the location is close to all that Pratunam offers -mainly shopping! The non-smorgasbord breakfast offered you choices, the host was helpful and friendly and the location was close to the BTS and Victory square for min-van travel. We discovered that the airport travel centre for mini-vans had been discontinued, so now everything is jammed into the spokes around Victory Square.

Check in was very smooth, staffs are all very nice and accomodating. Conveniently located near to 7-11, 5-7 mins walk to BTS station, and another 5-10 mins walk to main Pratunam centre, with all the markets and malls nearby.
Only con is there is no english stations on the cable, other than that it was a very pleasant place to stay.

We stayed at The Nook for 4 nights. It is an extremely comfortable no frills B&B inn. The owner Frederick and his staff ensures that the guests have a seamless stay. The rooms are probably the largest in town. Beds are as comfortable as any luxurious hotel. Being strict vegetarian, we were skeptical on the breakfast but the team ensured that they accommodate our request of 'no meat & no egg' in fried rice and fried noodles. The Nook is very near to BTS skytrain station, some very good malls (Prathunam Platinum Mall & Diamond Mall), renowned Indira market etc.

Definitely a recommendation for all looking for an affordable and comfy stay in Bangkok.
