The Continental Hotel is an amazing hotel in Bangkok near the Asok BTS and MRT stations (and 1 street off of Soi Cowboy). The hotel has parking (if that matters to you). The staff welcomes you warmly and professionally. The decor and uniforms are professional and fits the theme of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and modern. The pool on the 37th floor is small but very nice. Great place to spend the afternoon. The restaurant on 35 serves good food but I do not usually eat there as I want to feast on the local street food. I highly recommend this hotel. There is more I could say but then you could not discover it for yourself.

Stayed at Continent in May 2014 where the coup was enforced. The hotel has a luxury atmosphere when u entered it lobby. However, don't expect a super spacious hotel. It goes with it pool, gym, breakfast area as well as the room ( I suppose they have bigger room that I had with a queen size bed). The building is tall and narrow. However it is decorated with tasteful high end decoration. Having said that, the space is still ample to walk freely in the room for 2 persons. The staff are friendly. There were only 2 lifts serving a tall building around 32 floors. The location of this hotel is strategically located near Asok BTS station. Within walking distance, is where Terminal 21 mall located, super convenient. Within walking distance u have Bei Otto that serve European and German foods. Overall is a good location to stay, not too far from all the major tourist attractions.

Room Tip: Room facing the road is a bit noisy

2 of the best nights in my whole trip, very well appointed, excellent friendly staff that go out of their way to look after you... The Roof top pool and the night club style bar on level 39 were outstanding. Toffy and Nannant were two of the many staff that really looked after me... i'll definitely stay here again, 10/10!!!
Unlimited cocktails all day at the roof top pool for 600 baht - fantastic value for money!!!
Don't be fooled by the crap the media portrays about the Martial Law here, you wouldn't even notice a difference apart from the 10pm curfew, I didn't see 1 single soldier or Army vehicle

Room Tip: all rooms have a different theme and colour scheme

I stayed in this hotel many times already, the hotel condition is good, location is awesome, sitting on the middle of interchange station between BTS and MRT, across the street from Terminal 21, also very helpful staff.
Especially one Concierge Attendant call Nut, I can always see a smile on his face and waiting to open the door for you when you approach, also he knows the area pretty well that he will give you a useful recommendation for sight seeing, on top of that he can speak good Chinese, so no worry if you can only speak little English, he is always be there to help. (At least he is very helpful to me, I hope he does the same to everyone else XD)

Room Tip: Room no. 3 and no.5 is bigger, also higher floor can get much better view

Stayed here upon the recommendation of a friend who travels frequently to Bangkok for work. This was our "splurge" at the end of our honeymoon. This is a beautiful hotel, 38 floors with 5 rooms were floor. The decor is modern and clean. It felt luxurious but not over the top. I found the rate to be very affordable.

We were on floor 26 with floor to ceiling windows. I recommend a corner room and a higher floor as the view is excellent and the rooms are bigger in the corners. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed at times at the front desk but were always helpful and accommodating. The beds were the most comfortable we slept in during our month in Southeast Asia.

The pool on the 36th floor is beautiful, was never busy and had a swim-up bar. I loved laying out here having the Bangkok high rise pool experience. The 38th floor skybar is also pretty but a little small and never really that crowded. That said, it was nice to have a skybar in our hotel- it saved us the journey into the old city to catch sunset at Cirroco, the skybar here was enough for me.

My only complaints are minor- the cosmetics in the bathroom should be of a higher quality in a hotel this nice in this price range. Also, the shade that goes up and down to block the glassed in shower from the bedroom is really painfully slow and doesn't have an automatic button. So, if you need privacy from your partner for less sexy things than showering, its a comical scene of standing and holding the button to make the privacy shade go down. Not very subtle. That said the shower is excellent and seeing the city view from the floor to ceiling glass is rather cool.

Room Tip: Higher level rooms facing Sukhamvit for the view are worth the extra cost. Corner rooms are large an...

I stayded at The Continent back in April with 8 other family members and as were coming from the UK and Australia we wanted rooms all on the same floor. Other then the first night of 7 this was not a problem.
The floors are named after different cities and it was great fun stopping on a new floor and finding out which one it was. There are only 2 lifts which can get busy at breakfast time but it was not a problem.
The pool was lovely and the view from there amazing, would be nice if it was slightly bigger with more sun lougers (8) but a great way to wind down after a day of shopping in bustling Bangkok. The quieter times are up until just after lunch and then it tends to get busier from around 4. The unlimited cocktails for 705THB at the pool bar was a great deal and we took advantage of this on a number of ocassions. The pool gets the sun all day and I definitely recommend the sunset from there also.
Breakfast was fine, not a missive range to choose from compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Bangkok but adequate enough.
The rooms are lovely and have everything you need.
The location can't be beaten and everything you need is within walking distance of the hotel. The sky train is just outside and makes getting around Bangkok very easy.
The staff were great in every area of the hotel and made us all feel very welcome.
Myself, my son and a friend are spending a week in Bangkok in December and The Continent was top of out list of somewhere to stay, this has already been booked and we a really looking forward to returning. We hope they still have the unlimted cocktail deal around the pool when we return.
