Went there last Sunday for breakfast after walking in to Dean and Deluca and being very disappointed with there breakfast options found the Bicycle Cafe just by chance. Had the Parma Ham Eggs Benedict which was very tasty and a great size serving,my husband had the Thai Breakfast Omlette and loved every mouthful. The cuppacinos were great full of flavour and hot.Service was polite and quick. Would recommend this cafe for breakfast.

I have been to Bicycle Café quite a few times for coffee. It's a great space to hang out, talk, watch the world go by...all the things you do in a coffee house. But I have never eaten a meal. This weekend we decided to have lunch there, and...we were disappointed.

The food was mediocre (especially the ahi salad), and the sandwich was tiny. I wouldn't eat here again because this area is full of choices.

I like this cafe. Pretty good coffee, nice selection for breakfast and sandwiches, and nice seating areas. It's a chill place to be and has bar-none location. The morning staff, especially those taking orders, seem really unhappy to be there. I feel bad when I place an order sometimes because they are just really not pleasant. It colors the experience a bit, but it should be noted that one of the long-standing staff who delivers the food is excellent, really friendly and really quite nice. I hope he gets some recognition for bringing smiles to work.

The coffee restaurant it’s located in Ploenchit. Ploenchit, like others places in Bangkok, is surrounded by those very high business buildings and that’s exactly what you will find in Cafe bicycle. For sure there was a time when the name it has a meaning directly related to bicycles but not anymore. What you will find is a place fully filled with employees that are working in the surrounded areas dressed like just coming from one of those catalogues of Armani. Inside, probably the manager found a good opportunity here to make money, it’s fully filled with those terrible wooden chairs and tables that makes you feel you are more inside in a food court rather than in a coffee shop restaurant. There is no space enough between the tables, so you conversation can be heard by the guy sitting next to the other table and viceversa, loosing any possibility of privacy or feeling comfortable, hard to breath. The 2nd floor it’s also available for sitting and looks more cozy, but again the huge amount of tables does not help. Decoration here needs a re-thinking more focused on customer’s pleasant and less on money cash. Add some sofas with large low tables, make separation including furnitures or just a plant or a book shelf are ver low cost solution, as some jazzy music in the background.
If you are just walking or touring around and feel hungry or thirsty you can try it but if your intention is bringing a good book, drinking a good coffee and have some relaxed, this is not the place.

PROS: Location is good and getting here it’s quite easy. Menu is good, not bad, and have a wide selection of salads. Price is ok. The website has all the info you need, it’s in English and has a map to easily find the route.

CONS: Not for bike lovers, book lovers, coffee lovers, artists etc... it’s very focused on the people working in the area, office employees, boring see different people dressed and acting like clones.

Tip: Avoid visit on working days and lunch time (12:00 pm).

Getting here: Take BTS and get off in Ploenchit, then take exit 2. From here it’s a bit tricky because if you continue walking through the stairs there’s no exit 2, but number 5, this one will lead you directly to the place.
