I went here on my last day in Bangkok to make an offering to the Monk Here & receive a blessing. Local people very accommodating & I am grateful for that. Didn't take any pics because i don't take pictures of Buddhist temples inside & was feeling to good when I left the Wat.
The temple is located near Siam Paragon within walking distance and worth a visit if you are so fed up with crowd. It is a combination between city temple where we can find all holy images Thai worship and forest meditation center if you spend more time walking more inside. The temple was under Royal Patronage of Former Princess Grandma of the Late King Rama 9.
This place is fascinating. You can feel the religous hopeful vibes in the air. There are alot of cool builings around too
as mentioned in another post, I came during Asahna day, a Buddhist holy day...I was also a bit "lost and sad", so it was a good time to be peaceful and mediate lol
in a crowded environment lol...there must be a few hundred people observing the tradition. Pity there were no English translation in the signs as there were so many tourists..btw, this temple is very accessible as it's between siam paragon and central world. the ceremony was marked by joss sticks, a candle with or without holder and a Lily...
