“Good food, live music”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

First of all: Cafe de Cing and Cafe de Cinq are the same but Tripadvisor lists both as different restaurants. Cafe de Cing is located along Ramindra Road between Soi 45 and 47, and nicely decorated with paintings. My Thai friends who live near Ramindra had invited me, and selected several dishes. Very tasty the Cesar salad, the pate of duck, a platter with sausages, and the spicy spaghetti seafood. The steak was a bit too dry. The live music was mostly Thai songs and one by one my friends took the chance to take the floor and sing a song. Surprisingly one of my favourite German beer with yeast (Hefeweissbier) is available. The service is attentive and friendly.

“Asia and New Orleans come together .... Very Nice!”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

The tenderness of Thailand and a touch of "Cajun flavor" Since discovering Cafe de Cing I have joined the group of frequent patrons. It is not located in the most tourist and late night location Bangkok has to offer. It is not among the "High Rise" hotels and condos or fancy restaurants, so if you are in that part of Bangkok you will have a long distance to travel. By taxi you are 45 mins from that "central business district" area. I will not even tell you that you should make the trip only that this restaurant is simply special, service is very good and the meals delicious. The atmosphere is quite and at times very playful as on occasion some may even sing along with the entertainment. The owners live here in Bangkok but also have a home in New Orleans and are very familiar with the unique flavors of "Cajun/Creole" food. After spending time with one of the owners, Toy, she told me she once worked for one of the outstanding restaurants in the heart of the Cajun Heartland, Lafayette, Louisiana. Those that know that area are very familiar with one of the premier restaurants there... Don's seafood and steakhouse downtown. We had such a special time speaking about the days there. I was amazed she remembered so many of the same regulars there still. I tell you this because I want you to know this place not only servers delicious food but it is like family visiting with regulars. There are hints of New Orleans on the wall but the big give away are two "Blue Dog" paints from George Rodriquez . The Cajun Pork chop with mash potatoes and corn is excellent. Loved the smoke duck and also really enjoyed the Pork stew. The entertainment's varied each night and always good. You will not be disappointed.
The restaurant is located at 767 Ram-Intra Rd, in the BangKhen District of Bangkok.
