There are few branches in Bangkok and we went to the one located in Sathorn area. This branch is located at 11th floor of YWCA building.

We ordered their famous curry powder fried crabmeat, it's oily and the vege that we ordered came out only a few pieces, it's really really too little. I will not go again.

Thank weeming

Specialty is seafood but prices are not really cheap for that esp the crabs & lobsters. It is conveniently located next to our hotel, Golden Tulip Mandison Suites....how strategic! The restaurant is actually an old bungalow and takes up quite a big piece of land... a bit wasted we thought...Interior nothing to shout abt but I believe Je Ngor caters for large groups and have many big tables that can fit 10 or more. The smaller groups will take up the odd tables arranged at the corner. We are not too fussed up abt that and started looking at menu. As there were only 2 of us, we ordered rice with a fish tom yam (non spicy and clear soup - not the reddish type we get in normal Thai restaurants). It was 400THB for that bowl but it was really good value as I believe it can feed at least 4 pax. The fish was sea bass and it was super sweet and fresh..the soup was so tangy and tasty...even my hubby who doesn't like sour stuff down every drop of the soup. Our next order was their specialty, prawns cooked in claypot with glass noddles at 350THB. Glad we ordered only 2 dishes as we struggled to finish as it was a huge portion. Well satisfied and yes, the restaurant has wifi!!!

As we liked the restaurant so much, went back for dinner again on another night. This time we ordered fresh prawns (cheok har) just blanched in water, seafood tom yam and steamed garoupa fish slices. The prawns was a steal at 210THB and seafood tomyam was 250THB but the fish was nothing to shout about and it was 350THB. Still it was a good meal as it was comfortable and we know the food will not turn out funny like in some restaurants.

Good place to eat if you want a quiet, comfortable dinner. Prices may not be cheap if compared to food courts or lesser known restaurants but I still think the seafood is fresh and the prices will not kill you!!!

I have been a regular of this restaurant since my first visit 3 years ago. This is actually the place I often take my visitors for tasty Thai-Chinese food, all my guests loved the food and would come back to this restaurant again when the visit again. The price here is very reasonable and the food is always fabulous. The seating here is spacious, although the decor is kind of old, but it is a comfortable and clean place to dine in. The service is adequate. The dishes I would recommend is the Pepper Crab, much better than the Curry Crab, steam fish, sea bass or garoupa in chille and lime sauce, or bake fish with rock salt; baked casserole with shrimp and vermicelli or goose web with egg noodles; these two dishes are quite similar, so I would suggest not to order both unless you absolutely love eating a lot of noodles. Last but not least, the stir-fired morning glory is fabulous, we always have 2 orders of this dishes, other stir-fired veggies are just as good, particularly the bitter melon leaves. As for appetizer, the shrimp egg rolls, shrimp cakes and the raw shrimp are all lovely. Don't miss this great value for money restaurant.
