“Perfect Location, Pretty Hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2013

My friend and I wanted a short, 3D 2N shopping getaway in Bangkok and we chose Hua Chang Heritage Hotel, after reading so many positive comments on tripadvisor. The moment we arrived at the hotel, we were amazed by its beautiful decor (the photos says it all). I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland, for real! The silver and gold oversized furnitures were stunning! Checking in was smooth, staff welcomed us with Thai floral wrist bands.

We took the Premier deluxe room that turned out to be too huge for just the two of us - we hardly used the living room for our stay but it would be perfect for families with children. Room was very clean, modern and used the touch screen control system, which was very impressive.

We had a comfortable stay throughout although we wished the hotel had a spa for us to unwind and that the buffet spread for breakfast would have more variety - we had the same limited breakfast spread for the 2 days.

Other than that, the location was perfect - walking distance (5 mins walk) to MBK Centre, a couple more minutes walk to Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery etc.. so many shops along the whole stretch, enough to distract you from your initial destination :). Another plus for location - the BTS is right beside the MBK Centre!

Hua Chang Heritage Hotel is a great hotel to stay for convenience and comfort!

Room Tip: Deluxe room would be just right for 2 persons. Request for a room nearest/nearer to the lift. We we...

A new hotel which we wanted to try..good location, next to the MBK, and BTS transport. Very practical place to be. The room is quite spacious, furniture was a bit tacky for my taste and having a bath tub in the middle of the room was really not our cup of tea! We can hear the train passing but not so disturbing. Staff are ok at the reception, breakfast is excellent with a lot of variety of food and fruits. Internet works perfectly well in the room, very good connection ! Definitely recommend this hotel .

Rooms are really pretty and super comfortable. Bed are excellent, a bit softer than you are used to in Asia, which is great. Shower is also great. Room looks great and was very clean.

We found only two negative aspects: staff could try a bit harder to be a bit more genuinely friendly. Also, breakfast is not included and it is very expensive to include afterwards. A bit too expensive in my opinion.

The hotel is 5 min walk to MBK, and the metro station.

ITs brand new with high tech equipped rooms, where you can control everything in the room by a control panel next to your bed. Rooms are very specious, beautifully decorated, i loved the way the bathroom can be opened on the bedroom where you can enjoy a hottub while watching TV. One drowback is the corridor leading to the rooms are not air conditioned.

Staff are excellent, super service, serve you with a big smile.

Breakfast is ok, more varieties can be added.

Room Tip: choose the primier room, its amazing

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 20-24 Nov. About 200m walking distance to MBK, Siam Paragon and Siam Square. Also, is walking distance to National Stadium or Rachathevi Skytrain stations. So traveling is convenient. Both the bedroom and toilet/shower areas are nice done and spacious. However, the pool area is not big and not for those serious swimmer. But, it's not an issue to me as my purpose to Bangkok is for shopping, eating and ease of moving around. The hotel is recommended for couples who like nice, privacy and spacious room. The breakfast is great with many local and continental choices. The staff are courteous and friendly. Lastly, I got a surprise on my last day which is my departure day. I still got another 5 hours to spare before I depart for the airport at 3pm. I had yet to shop at the famous Platinum Fashion Mall. Thought of getting a taxi there but the reception staff asked us to take a river taxi instead. So nice of her that she even offered to walk with us to the boarding point. It's about 50m behind the hotel. It beat all the uncertainties on traveling time if by taxi. The boat stopped directly opposite the mall. The ride is about 5-6 min and cost 10THB per pax. Thanks trip advisor for a good recommendation. Cheers

Very nice room, big, clean and stylish. All the staff was very kind and professional. Great breakfast and excellent restaurant. The position is very convenient for shopping and for the sky train. And last but not least the price is really honest!
We only had a problem at our arrival since the baby-cot we had asked for at reservation was not available... anyway they finally solved the problem after our kind complains.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

First trip to Bangkok and couldn't have been happier with Hua Chang. Excellent service from receptionists to managers to restaurant staff.

Hotel is a 5 min walk from the BTS National Stadium stop, walking distance to the popular Siam discovery/paragon, and just 3 stops to the frenetic Sukhumvit area. Siam currency exchange is a 2 minute walk and offers one of the best USD rates we could find.

the rooms are decently large for a boutique hotel, including all the amenities that you'd expect, solid wifi service, and quiet even though our room was facing a busy intersection. The bathroom is very spacious with double sinks, a heated toilet seat, and a rain forest shower to boot.

We only had breakfast but it was very solid every morning with a combo of basic western staples and very good local thai such as crab/shrimp fried rice, spicy noodle soups, and Thai omelets (a must try!).

For all of this, we found a rate of ~130/night, which is incredible given the benefits. Would recommend this place for anyone.
