“Good budget hotel close to Airport train”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2013

Shadi home is a 5 min walk from the Ratchaprarop airport train station, and about 15 min walk to Chitlom BTS; in midst of the lively Pratunam area in a small soi which caters to budget travelers with a lot of shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean, have quite a large bathroom, fridge, and free wifi throughout the hotel. I missed a desk to do some work. The hot breakfast caters mostly to South East Asians, not to those who prefer European Continental breakfast. Only instant coffee available.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms are brighter.

This is a simple hotel so stay here only if you just want a clean room to sleep in. No toiletries except for soap and and shampoo in a dispenser. Deluxe room I stayed in had no shower screen or demarcation so you'll get water everywhere when ytou shower. Pillows really need replacing. Walls are not soundproof so you can hear someone talking in the corridor even with your door closed. On the positive side staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is simple but just nice as mentioned by someone earlier. The restaurant also serves halal food for lunch and dinner and it's great as they do not serve alcohol and claim to be halal at the same time. Location is quite good as it is near food joints and also a short walk will get you to the Palladium and Pratunam Shopping Centre. If you are looking to buy things in bulk these two shopping centres will fit right in. Had a blast of a time shopping here.

We stayed at the Shadi Home residence in Bangkok for 4 nights in May. The room was quite small, but clean and spotless. The bathroom is a typical budget hotel bathroom with shower next to the toilet. The breakfast is minimal but sufficient. You get fruit (watermelon and pineapple) a choice of fried egg or omelet and a good choice of Thai/Indian food, with juice and tea or coffee. The GM was around all the time checking on the property - well done to have him visible at all times. Reception staff always had a smile and welcomed us every time we dropped the key off. Within 10 minutes walk from Ratchaparop Rail link to the airport, and close to the shopping area in Pratunam. Will return to this hotel, as it is good value for money and the cleanliness of the property was remarkable. Well done and keep it up

I wouldnt recomend this hotel. I think the pictures are very decieving. The hotel lobby is the only good thing with this hotel...the rooms are dirty, and there's fungus on the ceiling. We got a "deluxe" room which had big dirty windows overlooking a boring, depressing building. The hotel had one good english speaking chanel.
