We stayed here for 4 nights. It is a beautiful facility, with very attentive front desk personnel. It is close to one of the Sky Train terminals which is convenient, as sometimes it is faster to take the Sky Train rather than a cab. The only problem we had was the restaurant-we ate the seafood buftet there on Friday night. The food was so so & my husband got sick from the calamari he ate--threw up all night.

During my stay from 23-26 May 14, I have gone to the roof top bar every night.

360 degree overview of the city and a very beautiful island bar in the middle.

The reason I love this bar so much is not only because of the view there but also the professional cocktails they offer and the happy friendly team there.

If you like classic cocktail like old fashion, dry martini, sazerac, etc., I would recommend you to go there and try. They would not let you down. And, for those drinks lover, you must find Maxim, who is the manager there. He is very knowledgeable and professional about cocktail and drinks. I believe you must enjoy talking to him. Luckily, may be you can have chance to try the drink he made!

And, they have a great team serving this roof bar. Staff there are all young, energetic, passionated, happy and friendly people of great teamwork. You won't be boring even though you come alone like me!

This became a must go to me in bkk!

We were so excited to try out the latest Marriott Property in Bangkok. Great location as it's only 5 mints: to the Sky Train. Beautiful Hotel. Very Modern and Chic. The room was nicely laid out. We were upgraded to a corner room which was very nice.
That being said, the Executive Lounge was very disappointing. The food was really sparse. For example, if you get in later for breakfast good luck finding anything to eat. Only the bare minimum! The live cooking station will make eggs for you with very few ingredients. I asked for a little Thai chili and was told they can't use it because there is no exhaust! Evening snacks are also very limited and sparse. There was a small oven that kept a few bread rolls etc warm and that was removed. The only good thing was a small freezer with Ice cream. Even that was removed after a few days! There were juices and small boxes of salad to help our selves, that was also removed! Don't expect any decent food while your there.
The gym was nice and so was the pool. The roof top bar is very inviting. Really looking forward to trying it out again, hoping that they might improve on these things.

This hotel was newly opened in 2013, they just recently celebrate their first anniversary. The hotel is very near the BTS sky train station, it took me 3 mins to walk to the hotel from the station. There is a shopping mall near the hotel, I didn’t know until I took the taxi and went to the airport! Well the size of the mall was nothing like the scale of Central World. If you wanna go to Terminal 21, you only need to pass 2 BTS stations, while Central World would be 5 stations away.

My room was located on 38/f, which was high and the room view was spectacular. However, the room size is relatively smaller than the one that I stay at Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok.

The bathroom came with a circular bathtub and there was a floor to ceiling window right next to the tub. All of the bath amenities are from Thann, which is one of my famous brands. Thann products are developed and manufactured in Thailand and the scent was heavenly smell.

The breakfast spread was pretty good, from western to eastern dishes, egg station and noodle stations. There was a juice station where you could select the fruits by yourself and let the staff to make the juice for you. I like it~

We cashed in two free nights from our Marriott rewards points, and it was totally worth it. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are modernly appointed, posh, rather luxurious and comfortable (though a bit small, I feel). The bathtubs (different in the two rooms we stayed in!) and showers are pretty new and have an amazing view of the city. The king bed is comfortable and very clean. We preferred the layout of the corner king room more than the king room in the middle, but both have a nice view.

The provided toiletries, robes, slippers, ice, water, tea, coffee are actually quite good.
Bring bath bombs/salts/etc., because the tubs are super awesome...

The BTS is just one block away, so it's super easy to get to Lumphini Park, Terminal 21 or Central World area for shopping, or basically anything else on Sukhumvit. Plus, it's not too far from Soi 38, where there's a night market! (Moot point on our 2nd night though, as we got back at 9:50pm from Phi Phi to find that the military had staged a coup while we were flying and had instituted a 10pm curfew.) We didn't get to go to the rooftop bar, but it definitely looked very nice when our elevator accidentally stopped at the 40th floor!

I would also consider Dusit Thani for a real touch of elegance and a more Thai stay, and if I wanted to be near the shopping, I would probably choose something closer to that.

For people who don't want to be in such a touristy/slightly overpriced area, do not stay on Sukhumvit/in the Terminal 21 area.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have better layout but are perhaps a tad bit smaller. Stay in a room above the 20th flo...
