“Great residence in Bangkok”

I have been there to stay for the first time. It awesome service apartment if compare with a cost you pay. First when I check in staff very friendly and helpful, they both can speak English and Japanese very well. A room I book was fulled so they upgrade for me to 2 bedrooms apartment it very really great, big living room, kitchen and also have a bathub inside master bedroom. Swimming pool on the top of building was very beautiful. This service apartment have provide free shuttle bus to Skytrain and Subway fee of charge, wifi in room and common area faster. Definitely I will back to stay there again.

Pleasantly surprised was an understatement for the way I felt when I checked in. After staying at ‘so-called’ 4 and 5 star hotels around Bangkok, I believe 39 Boulevard should be rated a 6 albeit block-out curtains would be a bonus, however, the existing curtains emit a lovely ambience. The check-in process was simple, quick and very pleasant and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The first thing I did after checking in was to explore the building and I was amazed at what I found. The apartments are constructed in two brand new high-rise buildings almost identical to each other labelled 39 and 40 Boulevard. The apartments are so new that upper rooms are still being fitted out in a quiet way that does not disturb the occupants in the rooms below.
Both buildings contain the same amenities that include the following: indoor soccer courts; basketball courts; tennis courts; in-door children’s playground; state-of-the-art gym; a games room with full size and pub size pool tables, soccer tables and air-hockey tables; home office room with printers scanners etc.; large infinity pool on the 30 floor (great views); gas BBQ and utensils; steam room adjacent to the sauna; spa pool; a golf driving and putting range on the ground adjacent to the building; huge conference room and gathering area; the list goes on… In fact, I am still finding more amenities each time I go back there. All these amenities can be used any time of the day or night, such a wonderful departure from the time constraints applied by every other hotel.
The rooms are amazing. I rented a one bedroom apartment on the 8th floor and the second time on the 10th floor. The higher you go the better are the views (obviously) nevertheless 8th floor upwards are great. As I was saying, the rooms were very impressive fitted out with the latest technology. The apartments I had were made up of a kitchen with convection micro-wave, full size fridge freezer, glass-top rapid hotplates, kitchen utensils, cutlery, etc. Beside the kitchen was a dining area that leads to the spacious lounge room with a working desk area, 60 cm LCD TV and balcony. Next is the spacious bedroom (same size as most hotel rooms) with large mirror panelled wardrobes as well as another LCD TV. After that is the bathroom with a large shower area adjoin a huge deep bath. The bathroom also has a bidet that is adjustable for males and females. I thought that was cute.
Apart from the friendly relaxed atmosphere, the staff do their work while remaining seemingly invisible. There isn't the busy hubbub you find in most hotels. I was also very impressed with the technology embed in the apartment. The lounge and bedroom work desk areas have every laptop, printer and media connection points you could ask for – and they all work. The bedroom has a control unit that allows you to adjust lights, TV, air-con and front door notice (do not disturb and clean my room) etc. from the comfort of the bed. The WiFi speeds were around 100Mbits (in Australia your flat-out getting 10Mbits anywhere unless you have direct cable).
In between the two high rises are 5 restaurants and a Seven Eleven store. Four of the restaurants are Japanese with different cuisines at very reasonable to cheap prices. The remaining restaurant called Whalers, is an expensive high-class western cuisine restaurant that is well worth having a meal there. The service, ambience and quality of food is superb and ideal for a romantic or impressive experience. The service and food is well worth the money.
The apartments are located on a quiet one-way Soi centrally located. When exiting the building, you can turn right towards Soi 33 a 10 min walk to the street markets around Soi Cowboy, Terminal 21 Plaza and Robinsons Plaza, or turn left to Soi 39 which leads to Emporium Plaza, street food stalls and the amazing supermarkets on Sukhumvit Road. The apartments are also close to three hospitals and offers free shuttle service every ½ hour to all these places.
All in all, 39 Boulevard is the only place I would want to stay while in Bangkok. Over the past 10 years I have stayed in various 4-5 Star hotels, nothing to-date matches this place and I am at a loss to understand why the rating is a 7.5 instead of a 10. I guess some people are really hard to please or they prefer hotels instead of condos. When you get there make sure you meet and chat with Smith. He is the owner and is at the reception desk every day till around 5 pm. Smith is open to negotiation especially if you are planning an extended stay or if you are a regular tenant.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are very quiet and have great views.

We booked 75m2 apartment with one bedroom. The room was big, view was very nice, also kitchen was good! But what was so sad on this kind of residence, our room was dirty. I called to reception and they sent housekeeping to clean the apartment. We have been in many cheaper hotels and they have been many times cleaner than this!! Pillows were horrible! Internet and AC worked well. There were many activities in those two buildings and they were great. Gym was very good, also pools. And you can use them, it includes to the price. Location was peacefull, there are some restaurants near but they are expensive than normally in Bangkok. In residence they have free shuttle bus to the Asok BTS station in every 30 mins. I would give 4 star if room has been clean, but really, it was poor cleaned.
