“The Staff will make it your second home.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

The Hotel is a VERY elegant place to stay. The entire Hotel Staff were extremely professional and friendly. This was my first time staying at this hotel. I enjoy being at a place where they know your name in addition to the traditional Thai (Wai) greeting. The entire Hotel Staff will definitely make you feel like making the Renaissance your second home.

The room was immaculate and maid service was excellent and very timely. It was like she knew my schedule; it was a pleasure coming back to my room after breakfast or a morning meeting and finding the room all made up.

What should be mentioned is that the FREE WIFII service throughout the ENTIRE hotel is excellent. The upload and download bandwidth was always around 8-MPS.

The Concierge services personnel are called "Navigators", and that is exactly what they do. They will guide you through all Hotel Services and anywhere in Thailand, if you so request it.

What was extremely enjoyable was that I had to attend several places each day at certain times. The doorman knew the directions to give the Taxi Driver without hesitation. But using a taxi was not always necessary. The BTS (Sky Train) Chitlom Station is about 75 yards from the Hotel Main Entrance and is the easiest, cheapest, cleanest, and fastest way to travel. The hotel is also centrally located and walking distance to shopping malls and the many local eateries.

I have worked and visited Thailand for over 31 years and have stayed at ALL the major 4/5-Star Hotels. The Renaissance should be your place to stay for business and pleasure when in Bangkok. I will place the hotel service above all others...the Management is doing something right.

A must place to have an OUTSTANDING buffet is at the Hotel Restrauant Flavors, but I should say it is slightly on the pricy side if you intend to eat a small breakfast - this is only an opinion from a frequent visitor to Thailand, so disregard and enjoy the experience. Now if you have ever experienced a 4/5 Star Hotel Breakfast anywhere, the price is typical, but the TASTE, SERVICE and PRESENTATION is beyond comparison. The morning and lunch time manager and staff made the meal even more enjoyable. Although, I had always selected their Buffet, the staff knew my eating habits and were always quick to provide another Espresso and freshly made juice and/or smoothie. Several times the waitresses would bring over a specially made dish each day and ask if I would like a second serving on my meal for the day. This is of course dependent on the number of customers, but my stay in the morning would be at least 2-hours, and speaking to the staff will go a long way. Your evening dining experience will be second to none, which is evident by the number of bookings. If you choose the buffet, you will experience a Fine Dinning intercontinental experience prepared and inspected by their Master Chief from Spain. He knows Thai cuisine and was a pleasure to meet and talk too.

I have traveled to 67 countries and have always stayed (if available) at a 4/5-Star Hotel. The Hotel Staff, Restrauant (Flavors) Manager, and Waiters/Waitresses will make your stay extremely fun with a special Touch of Class. I should also mention their ability to speak English is very good and some extremely well. They enjoy talking to you if you so desire.

Special Mahalo (Thank You) to the Staff at Flavors - Mr. Chaiporn (Manager), Ms. Jariya (Assistant Manager), Mr. Samp, Ms. Wikanda, Ms Thida and Ms. Baew.

The only thing I could say negative about the Renaissance will be your reluctance to leave.

Aloha my new friends - I cannot wait to return.
