“So far a superb experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014 via mobile

Just the check-in. I got greeted by a nice FO staff nicknamed "Smile" and this is what he does all along. He laughed, and made me feel comfortable the minute I came through the door.
The rooms are spacious and modern with a great bathtub and separate shower. Everything is clean and tidy. The only thing missing is a comfortable chair to sit and relax or watch TV. The ones provided are basic and not meant to be for long periods of sitting. Breakfast is great, albeit very busy the staff is very attentive and friendly. Lots of Headwaiters make sure no one will be forgotten. Buffet is serving everything you need for every taste. Vegetarian, western, Asian, Indian.........a little bit more fruit choices would be nice though. It is a great stay so far, one more night to go and I am sure I won't be disappointed. A wonderful experience in Pratunam, Bangkok.

we stayed at the Berkeley hotel for three night at a luxury room. A lovely big and clean room and all of us loved the pool. All staff where very pleasant and helpful. We will come back when we are in Bangkok.

This plush and fancy hotel is located conveniently around the main shopping vicinities in Pratunam area. It's grandly designed hotel interior is well equipped with new technology facilities, and needless to say that the rooms are both trendy and sophisticated. Service is efficient, although, some staff needs more practice on the english language. Breakfast serves
fairly abundant selections of buffet.

The luxury room in the main tower proved a comfortable base for an extended stay whilst I recovered from an injury. The room was comfortable with the a/c issues resolved to provide steady cool air. The room was kept clean & tidy. The only downsides were the feeble fridge (nicknamed the 'microwave' by my Thai partner') as it wouldn't keep anything cool (there's nothing like a tepid beer to refresh is there?) & frequently feeble wifi. Breakfast was fine but I was advised on occasions to arrive early (<8am) as the hotel was full to capacity with Chinese tour guests & that breakfast might become a bit of a noisy scrum. True. Will stay again however.

Room Tip: Luxury main tower rooms should be fine however I'm pretty convinced by now that the fridges in m...

Was at this hotel from during my June holiday & had a great & awesome stay in the spacious room.
There are night markets just opposite & below the hotel & it is pretty convenient.
We took the Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link - City-Link train to Ratchaprarop station & walking distance to the hotel is about 10 - 15 min only. But along the way, there are many shops to browse through & we dont feel it was too far to walk.
Reception area is big but staffs really did not live up to the name of Bangkok - "A Land of Smiles"... They do speak & understand English though, but both did not put on a smile when we arrived for check-in at ard 7.45 pm local time...
Hotel area is full of shopping malls like Platinum Mall, Big C, World Central, and walking distance to Siam Paragon, & many good massage parlors.
The hotel has recreational facilities such as outdoor pool, spa, massage, pool (kids), and garden.
But we did not use all these recreational facilities as we are out most of the time to shop & sight seeing! :P
The only 2 inconvenience are:
1) we were staying at the North Tower & we will have to take the lift from the Main Tower to 11th Floor, then walked over to the North Twr & take another side of the lift to our room;
2) we need to cross the overhead bridge to get to Platinum Mall, World Central & pratunam night maket near Baiyoke Sky... & for those who are of older age or knee problem, I do not recommend this hotel.
But overall, it was good for us! But I would recomment other to stay at the Main Tower, which slightly expensive than the North Tower. :D

Room Tip: Stay in the Main Tower instead of North Tower..

My husband and I stayed in the Main Tower, very convenient. Rooms are not as luxurious as in the photos but it is comfortable. The design of the shower makes it overflow every time which was quite messy. Close to lots of food and shops, good location. Infinity pool is pretty, not really big but enough for a midday dip. Buffet breakfast was a good way to start your day as the restaurant is on the 10th floor. Overall, a good hotel for the price. I asked for a higher floor and got 31, the view was nice. Hotel deposit was 1000 baht.

The hotel lobby was mind-blowing. With magnificient gold statues and elaborated floral decoration. But don't get your expectations too high, esp if you are staying in the north (not main) wing.

North wing's reception area, was empty, and lack of air conditioning. But at least they indicated a hotline to call if you need help. But it doesn't feel welcoming at all.

the room we got initially wasn't very good. The TV was facing the toilet door, and the bed was facing the entrance. Toilet wasn't very clean as there were visible dirt stains. And the water from the shower pressure wasn't strong enough.

That night, we were not very impressed when we tried to call the room service to request for a bottle opener. We were manually diverted to the Kitchen department as the lobby staff said it was another section.I would think that it should be the Hotel's responsibility to sort the guest's request out, and not divert us from one place to another. And the staff who brought up the curtly reminded us to use it now if we want, as it was the only bottle opener in the whole hotel.

We requested for a change in the room which the staff obliged. The new room was much better, toilets less dirty and room orientation much better
