“Pretty much average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014 via mobile

The menu is pretty much simple. Shame most grouper fish are stir fried and deep fried. Nothing steam. Not very Cantonese.

We had suckling pig. Have to book 1 day in advanced. The pig has a very 腥 piggy smell and taste. Not very fresh. Waste of money.

Toufu with mushroom was served not very warm. And very amateur Choy sum (Chinese cabbage) covered with oyster sauce.

Had a bottle of red wine. Not put on our table after first pour. When my glass was empty have to walk over to next table to get the bottle. All the staff seem busy serving the VIP private room.

“Good foods with Good atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014 via mobile

Appetizer (bun) is very nice, crispy outside with yummy in. The roast duck is very nice with mango and peanut butter as dipping sauce.
Fish is fresh and I like the restaurant Shanghai sauce.

Overall is great for food and atmosphere, however most of all menu have to make a reservation. The double/ take home order is impossible, so quite sad.

“Just OK”

Strange feelings... Really. Looks like very Chineese place with wooden walls carpets etc. Tried to say hello to Chef... no way - very busy, very serious. Finally he did it actually. Not enough convrnirent with parking... I should keep the ticket with me and stamp it at restaurant. Why should I care. Some soup and Hong Kong style Duck were really good. Very good. Servers are attentive and lovely. Have to try again coz of did not get a point...

“PremiumChinese food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 January 2014 via mobile

No wondering why Chefman hit the topten new best restaurant in bkk in 2013. The food was really good and the price is affordable. The dish that you can't miss is the Pecking duck, like no other places, they have sweet mango on the side too. Grouper was very fresh, dim sum was great like in Hongkong, nautilus sashimi was good. In addition, the desserts are impressive too, mango wrapped with young coconut, and pie apple. The atmosphere was ok, regular chinese restaurant. The service was ok, when you order pecking duck, the chef will cut duck in front of you and serve at your table. Reservation is needed. Overall, I really like Chefman, I'd like to go back again.
